Small World Express Tune in Violin13 reviews

Small World Toys

Small World Toys, 2007

Toy Violin
This is a great toy violin, we bought it for our 20 month old so he would have one to play when our 4 year old practices her suzuki violin. It has proven to be a great toy for all ages. One feature, allows the player to use the bow to the tempo of an existing song (say, Vivaldi) and thus, learning the timing and rythm. This was a great toy- I wished I had bought it 2 years ago. It has a volume ...

Woodstock Percussion Remo Lollipop Drum11 reviews

Woodstock Percussion, Inc.

Fun and Whimsical Musical Drum Instrument
This is a very whimsical musical drum! I bought it for my toddlers and I'm tempted to buy a second one. The value is terrific. The mallet strikes the lollipop decorated portion of the drum with incredible tone and musical accuracy. Perfect for young children who love to march to the beat of their own drum! My son especially took a licking to it. Yes, that's right. He wanted to eat it ...

2 year old LOVES it and so do I!
My 2 year old son is really into music. He has 3 other toy guitars, but he absolutely loves this one. It plays snippets of cool songs like "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" by Queen, "All-Star" by Smashmouth, "Message in a Bottle" by The Police, "Wild Thing" by The Troggs, and "Love Shack" by the B-52's. I like it because it's not annoying like his Barney and Wiggles guitars, and it actually ...

Woodstock Percussion Kid's Fantasy Guitar1 review

Woodstock Percussion, Inc.

Woodstock Percussion, Inc., 2007

fun junk
This guitar is cheap and poor quality. Two strings broke while I tried to tune it, the bridge constantly comes unglued. But my two-year old loves it because it makes noise and he feels like a rock star. Which is why we bought it. Don't expect to be able to teach a child anything on this guitar...but I'd buy it again for a two-year-old to wail on.

Loads of fun and educational too!
My two year old got this for Christmas last year and has been enjoying it ever since. Very fun and educational too. Kids like to bang on things, so why not have the alphabet answer them!

Schylling Accordion9 reviews

Schylling

Schylling, 2008

Yikes... buying an accordion? Not so fast....
Buying a kids accordion is probably something your average parent wouldn't even consider; most folks don't like accordion music, and the idea of a kid squeezing and squeezing on one of these things is about as appealing as a hole in the head. However, most people have misconstrued ideas about what this instrument would sound like. First of all, this is a diatonic accordion, meaning it's tuned ...

SOUNDS LIKE FUN

SOUNDS LIKE FUN

Excellent Toy
I purchased this item as a gift for a 13 month old child. He immediately was mesmerized by the colors and sounds. Very developmental in that the sounds are generated by the child's direct interactions, rather than just pushing buttons for songs as with many toys. Product is extremely durable and educational.

Banjo Tam
Interestingly, the toy I ordered is not the one I received. There were no (nor were there even holes for) any tambourine cymbals. Not that I'm complaining, because we planned on removing them anyway. So it's all good! :)

Woodstock Percussion Kid's Xylophone5 reviews

Woodstock Percussion, Inc.

Woodstock Percussion, Inc., 2007

Good tone
My 3-year-old loves this toy. When people ask her about her favorite toy that she got for Christmas, she names this instead of the bike that she also received. It's made of wood instead of metal like many other xylophones, which gives it a tonal quality that is easy on the ears of her mother. I had to glue one of the sponge pads back on, but that was no trouble.

The description of this toy sounded much better than the toy itself. It is confusing to toddlers -- not sure what they are supposed to do -- and the sounds are not great.

Set of All 3 Sound Puzzles (Vehicle, Farm, Instrument) By Melissa & Doug1 review

Mellissa & Doug

Mellissa & Doug

Overall good toy
I like that it is wood, it is very colorful, and it is easy to handle for our 1-year-old who is interested in it now and will grow into it in the next six months. The only detraction is that sometimes the puzzle seems to be sensitive to light as it makes sounds when we turn off the lights and this is a little annoying. Also, I would have liked the sounds to be a little easier to imitate with ...
