Wolff and Joe
I thought the premise of this series was fantastic. It deals with bigotry, hate, and love. Reading about Wolff and his son Joe meeting their match in Mary is such a joy. Then knowing what Joe goes on to do with his life is just superb. I really wish that she had gone on to do books on the other brothers.

Super!
"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" Apparently, I am the 5434th person to leave a review. I will try to keep it short. I am a retired older person and, ten years ago, I bought a copy of the previous edition for myself and my wife and a second copy for my, then, eight-year-old step granddaughter and her eleven-year-old brother. We, each, enjoyed the story tremendously. We have followed ...

don't leave home without it.......
I thought that this book was very well put together. It's packed with interesting facts and information and it has great colorful pictures that make it fun to just browse. Also the quailty of the paper/binding is really nice for a paperback book of this price. The book does try to cover a lot of territory in just over 200 pages, but it is basically just a travel guide after all. It includes maps ...

Genius Work
Yes, that's right, genius work! A lot of people would completely disagree with me on this series (specifically friends) but I completely adore it. FAKE is freaking awesome and the fourth book is so cool. It's very touching and sweet and wow, there's a plot, how amazing is that? The action is absolutely amazing and I completely love how Matoh depicts New York city life, although she's way off on ...

What Grad School is Really Like
The PhD process is a great overview of graduate school in the sciences. It covers most basic topics such as choosing a type of school, applying, preliminary exams, comps, thesis work, etc. Of course each school does these things slightly differently, but the main points are there and the authors do a good job of pointing out where differences between programs are likely to turn up. This book ...

Amazing Manga!
This is one of the best manga's I've ever read. It's not the typical shojo and thats what makes it so unique and amazing. The character's are so complex and through each volume you get to know more and more about Rei and Kira. It's story line is the best I've read so far and I think that if it was just a book it would still be just as amazing. So long story short: If your looking for a manga ...

Newman's Confessions are Authentic, Honest, and Reassuring
If you're ten pages in to Waiting for Birdy: A Year of Frantic Tedium, Neurotic Angst, and the Wild Magic of Growing a Family and you have not laughed out loud, then just go ahead and put the book away. You probably haven't creased it too much, and you can probably successfully re-gift it. But chances are you will be chuckling, snickering and even snorting in delight all the way through Catherine ...

muy bueno
well if you're looking for volume 14 you probably already know this is a good manga... oh well. this is a very unique manga, in the story & the art. the cover art is always amazing & inside the book it is just as striking. 'priest' doesn't have tones everywhere for shading; the creator said in an interview in one of the books that toned mangas all look somewhat alike & he wanted something ...

This book is presented in an easy-to-read format and is full of great information and fabulous recipes. I finally understand what trans fat is and why it is so bad for you. The recipe for Chicken-Tarragon Potpies is so delicious and easy to make it is going straight into my Family Favorites file. This book should be on everyone's cookbook shelf.

Fun and informative
You don't have to be a big SpongeBob fan to enjoy this fun and informative book (I have rarely seen the show but am the father of three young SpongeBob fans). The author neatly intertwines real-life situations with events from SpongeBob episodes that he explains with the right amount of detail so that even those unfamiliar with SpongeBob will get the point about love, fear, getting along with ...

Very, very infomative
While some books lead you down the "garden path" as to how to go about achieveing the results you want, this book is vastly different. With its step by step instructions on how to "clear" areas of your life that are causing you troubles, this book is a must for anyone on the spiritual path to becoming a whole person. I highly recommend it and plan on keeping this one for much future ...

Remember The Alamo Davy Crockett Aileen Wells Parks The book Davy Crockett is about one of the most famous men in the history of America. It tells about how he became a great hunter with Daniel Boone. One of my favorite parts is where he defended the Alamoe for his country. This book will make you dream of travel...
This is the perfect book for curling up in a comfy chair and getting lost in a travel fantasy. Reading these stories reminded me of that ineffable thrill of being on the road alone - a feeling that has increasingly slipped away with age, marriage, and a baby. This book reminded me that it is not only possible, but necessary to occasionally slip the bonds of everyday life and remember myself ...

A highly recommended book with spiritual insight
This can be termed a "prosperity" book, but it doesn't center on the idea of becoming filthy rich. It won't likely help you win the lottery or a promotion or a large inheritance. What this book can help you achieve is a deeper awareness and consciousness of God, or if you prefer, a tuning in with the universe. There is mysticism here, but there is also a certain practicality. The book is in ...
