This book Saved me in my new job
I am in the middle of getting an MBA, and I have a six month internship at one of the top 3 consulting firms in the world. I used to be a chef, so my excel knowledge stopped at simple formulas. I brought the CD-ROM with me to work, and taught myself pivot tables in about 10 minutes with this book. I was amazed at how simple this book made the process. I recommend this to anyone who doesn't ...

Word 2003 for Dummies13 reviews
Dan Gookin

For Dummies, 2003

Has been very helpful.
Several years back, probably more than ten, I read one of the "for Dummies" books. It's been so long ago, I don't even remember what the book was about, but I do remember that I was very disappointed in it. For that reason, I've always steered away from this series of books. However recently, I found myself in need of WORD 2003 FOR DUMMIES by Dan Gookin. I have to admit that I have been shocked ...

Microsoft Office 2003: Introductory Concepts And Techniques12 reviews

Anyone can conquer their computer with this book
When I started college as an older student I had never been on a computer. This book which is used as a textbook at my college was a lifesaver. You will learn the basics that are needed for college or for employment. I have to say the diagrams/photos that accompany every step are what puts this book above all others. If the pictures did not match what was on my computer I could go back and see ...

Microsoft® Office Project 2003 Step by Step (Step By Step (Microsoft))28 reviews
Carl Chatfield, Timothy Johnson

Microsoft Press, 2003

Quite an instructional Book!!
This book not only teaches you how to use MS Project, but it also explains a lot about Project Management. Anyone learning MS Project should also understand Project Management, just like you should know grammar when you are using MS Word. This book also uses good examples and is very enjoyable to read. In fact, it teaches in such a way that allows me to be able to grasp its definitions! Very ...

Word 2003 Step by Step. Finally, a manual that helps!
I've been using Word 2000 for years. I was finally able to get most of thr functions I needed to work, but it was a "try & try again" approach. The on line manual is helpful, IF you know what questions to ask. And most software has features you might not be aware of, and therefore can't use. The Word 2003 Step by Step manual is wonderful. You can find what you want to do easily in the ...

Excel 2003 All-in-One Desk Reference for Dummies5 reviews
Greg Harvey

For Dummies, 2003

There's tons of useful information in this book.
I use Excel at work all the time and this book is always within an arm's reach. The formulas and functions chapters are especially helpful -- as are the ones on PivotTables, building Macros, and sharing data with other programs. If you're only going to buy one book on Excel, buy this one!

Access 2003 All-in-One Desk Reference for Dummies16 reviews
Alan Simpson, Margaret Levine Young, ...

For Dummies, 2003

Worth Getting
I found myself suddenly needing to use Access for analysis that was way too big to do in Excel (comparing data sets from 3 sources with ~800K records each). I really knew nothing about Access. Between this book and the internet I have become very proficient in Access. I practically slept with the book for a week. I now find I don't need it and have lent it to a co-worker.

Microsoft® Office Access 2003 Inside Out (Microsoft Office Access Inside Out)29 reviews
John L. Viescas

Microsoft Press, 2003

Very Helpful
This book is incredibly helpful to the relatively experienced user. There were quite a few things I was having a great amount of difficulty understanding, but this book explained things in such a way that I now understand and have since completed my databases I was creating for work. Not recommended for the beginner user.

Shelly Cashman series outdoes itself!
I had been using the Excel 2002 version of this book since last June...but when I recently upgraded to Office 2003, I wanted to upgrade to this version of book right away. I am not disappointed either. Within this book there are features such as Other Ways of doing things, such as opening Excel; other sidebar studies; more features to work with; more online materials, including links to ...

Excel book
This is the best book ever for someone that needs to learn anything about excel and how to use the spreadsheets, workbooks and any function within. Best Server Book Around
This book is extremely valuable as reference after you have read it through carefully. Everything is in "Plain English", so whether you are a novice or advanced in the field, this will answer your questions. This is "a must" for anyone wanting to learn about Windows Server 2003.

Office 2003 for Dummies4 reviews

Dummy No More
This is an excellent book for both beginners and those more knowledgeable about the software. It is well laid out and easy to follow. It can be used as a quick reference or as a learning tool for folks newer to the programs. I have a Student/Teacher Version of the software that has only Word, Excel, Power Point and Access and have already found it quite helpful.
