Best book I have ever bought
When you look around our basement it looks more like the library in a theological seminary. The majority of them are apologetic in nature. I have some lighter stuff like Philip Yancey and Chuck Swindoll but out of all these books, over 1000 titles, my absolute fave is " Putting Jesus in His place "!!! When reading the Scriptures like Genesis 19:24 it will finally make sense how the LORD could ...

Thank you Grandpa!
I have been a Christian for a long time, and grew up in a great Christian home...the authors home to be precise. I was taught many of the principles from the Saving Life Of Christ from a very young age, but to be honest they didn't always sink in. Through high school I went through a very rebelious stage as so many ministry kids do and wasted a lot of time and opportunity to allow Christ to ...

Catchy Title, awesome content
This book is written in a logical and easy-to-understand way. I have been impacted by the words written by Gross and Harper. Would recommend this book to anyone wanting to know more about how Jesus would actually live.

Rise and fall!
First off, let me say that we're not talking here about the famous Qi gong instructor named John Milton. We're talking about the famous 17th-century English poet who wrote _Paradise Lost_ and _Paradise Regained_, two of the most wonderfully overlong Christian poems in the history of Western literature. Your English teacher will tell you that _Paradise Lost_ "narrates the story of Adam and ...

A Close Encounter
At a private viewing of a film I directed, A Story of Tutankhamun, I met an attorney who gave me a copy of The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ, by Levi. Months later my wife and I attended a weekend for contemplative meditation. In conversation I mentioned the book. I was asked by a priest to write a review from a layman's point of view. An objective evaluation of the book will be ...

Ken's extensive tenure in remote mid east villages and his sensitivity to their culture gives him an unique insight into significant behaviors and meanings of words and actions of the people. Magisterial
I was reluctant when this tome about the infancy narratives had been recommended, and after the first chapter discovered this was no ordinary book. There are myriads of commentaries, but none like this! This book elaborates at length on the short gospel narratives of the birth of Jesus, and how the NT authors had woven OT material into those narratives. It elaborates on the role of the Blessed ...

Simply wonderful
I purchased several copies of this book years ago for my own children and to give as gifts. It is my godchild's favorite book to read at night. The familiar parables are given an amusing twist with illustrations which enhance the story line and strengthen the underlying lesson. I love this book for both the content and the illustrations and would love to see it reprinted.

The Case Against Christ
Christian scholars have made careers being apologists for the Christian faith. This book reveals that they may in fact own their readers an apology. I think the title may mislead some. The book isn't about discovering who the real Jesus was, and it certainly has nothing to do with the Templar Knights or whether or not Jesus was married. It's a critical analysis of the gosples, and the ...

Through the eyes of a humble donkey
I was very impressed by the beauty and pathos of this slim volume. Although the story is of Christ's passion, resurrection, and ascension, the story is really through the eyes of the humble donkey which Christ chooses to carry him into Jerusalem. It strikes me that children will be able to connect with the donkey's innocence and faithfulness, as a reflection of the person of Jesus Christ. Of ...

Superb for Small Group Study by Non-Specialists
The Parables of Jesus by David Wenham is a superb book on one of the most important topics in Gospels study. It is not new. It has been on the market since 1989. Even so, it is not "dated". Even after all these years it is quite simply the best book on parables for adults that aren't Bible college or Seminary grads I and most readers have ever seen. (Originally, it was part of a series ...

Superb Resolution to Apparent Contradictions in the Gospels
Unbelievers never tire of alleging contradictions between the Gospels. Yet if one actually takes the time to read the Gospels, it becomes obvious that the discrepancies between them are, in any case, so trivial that they do not undermine the veracity of the accounts in any way. Otherwise, one would have to discard all newspaper accounts for comparable "contradictions" between news accounts. Since ...

Illuminating for Young and Old Alike
Dr. Baba's book clearly does not have only one reader in mind. The interest and intrigue around a Creator is a question young and old enjoy discussing and exploring. Consider reading this with the mind of the child as I got drawn into the evidence of Christ through the narratives of biblical stories and people who lived long ago -- anything but perfect, perhaps more like me and my contemporaries ...

Expose ...
I titled this review Expose because I think this is just what this book does. It exposes your inner nature. This is not for the NEW Christian. It would be a bit overwhelming. As I went through the workbook I began to learn my pattern and ways of thinking. The book urges us or suggests ways that we can began to be more Christ-minded and it breaks down through scriptures Jesus Christ's ways of ...

Moments with the Savior
This is one of the best Christian devotional books I have ever read. It is unique in its presentation of events in the life of Christ and the author's spiritual insights certainly draw one closer to God. I gave a copy to my pastor and he recommended it to fellow pastors, as well as friends and family. Gert McIntosh

I love this so much!!!
This has helped me understand the Book of Mormon in a completely new way, and I feel so grateful to have found these books. I love what I am learning. My children are also enjoying it. Even though they are young, I read it aloud to them and I know that the notes and commentaries are helpful for them.

For anyone trying to inspire Bible study in young or disinterested readers
A little poetical spin may be all that's needed to truly enjoy the Bible once more. "The Bible in Rhyme" remixes the Bible for readers to provide them with original spins on verse to help readers get into the words, which are the important part, not the outdated and dreary language. For anyone trying to inspire Bible study in young or disinterested readers, "The Bible in Rhyme" may just be what ...

This book took a lot of Scriptures that I had read and studied and gave them greater meaning. My eyes were opened and I understood how many of my life experiences were working to improve me. Although its a cliche this book is a must read for all sincere and striving Christians.
