Funny, touching, observant....
I'm a big short story fan so I bought this book because this is a new author. I must say, I read the entire thing in one sitting. I laughed, moaned, contemplated and even wiped a few tears from my eyes. This writer captures the humor and pain of what it feels like to be human. I'll be looking for more books by the very talented Andrea Kampic.

A Book to Relish
When I read the play on words in the title of Pickles to Relish I suspected that this was not a dull canning book. I was sure of it when I saw the striking cover photo with the most beautiful array of pickles I've ever seen! No basic Farm Extension Service canning guide here; no, this book overflows with creative ideas and recipes. There are, of course, the standards such as bread and butter ...

Excellent Book!!
This is the perfect book for all types of plant enthusiasts. Stephen Ingram has combined his beautiful photographs with a nice description of each species, including basic ecology, distributional information, and fun facts about the history, nomenclature, native american uses, etc. It is easy to read, and although not something you would want to carry into the field, a "must have" reference ...

Fantastic Book
This is the book to have if you are interested in growing agaves, and yuccas particularly if you have an interest in growing them as landscape plants and want to know how hardy a particular species is likely to be. It has rapidly become the Bible for growers of these plants.

I'm new to agave nectar ...
...and I needed a book to help me use it when baking. The recipes are easy to follow. I've only made a few and I love this cookbook! My husband hasn't noticed a difference in the taste. He doesn't know I've stopped using sugar. Can't wait to try the brownies tonight! There are recipes for candies, frostings and ice creams, too! Definitely a great buy.

Not just a guide, but a real literary work
The first thing that strikes you about this book is the quility of it's pages and color photographs. It is of extremely high quality and the size is most convenient. I actually had trouble putting this book down. The author makes the words flow like few other "guide" type works I've seen. The information is straightforward and comprehensive without bias. If you enjoy tequila, you need this book. ...

The big picture
This book gave me a overview of tequila that included the agricultural considerations, cultural heritage, and history of mescal de tequila, not just a guide to making margaritas. It is well written with enough detail to satisfy the curious, yet straightforward enough to allow for the average reader. Exceptionally informative book!
