Posture Alignment16 reviews
Paul D'Arezzo

Marcellina Mountain Press, 2003

Quit slouching and stand up straight
This is an excellent book. Although I am only doing a few of the exercises, my awareness of slouching is ten thousand times what it was. And does one ever notice all the slouchers out there. My favorite quote from the book is "We simple don't move enough." There are all kinds of exercises to get us standing up straight and I consider this a "Life skills" book. Book flows and is easy to read.

Sound Systems: Design and Optimization: Modern Techniques and Tools for Sound System Design and Alignment10 reviews
Bob McCarthy

Focal Press, 2007

Very readable and entertaining
What surprised me most about this book was how readable it was. OK, I know it's not going on Oprah's book club list, but I was expecting a book that I wouldn't be able to understand beyond certain basics. Kind of like my 10th grade math book. But the way McCarthy works his way through the subject was well organized, clear AND at time humorous. I think that it's an excellent book that most sound ...

George Labovitz, Victor Rosansky

Wiley, 1997

Make Sure That Everything You Do Points To Success !
Great book! The basic premise is that once a business has a raison d'etre, or a 'main thing', that profits are maximized by the alignment of four key business areas: Strategy, Processes, People, and Customers. Built on this premise are actionalbe ways to build a self-aligning organization. I got the sense of discovering truth while I read this book. Dynamic Alignment Through Imagery8 reviews
Eric N. Franklin

Human Kinetics Publishers, 1996

Forget the Aspirin, Take a Franklin Instead and Call Me in the Morning
The body is an amazing thing. We look at architecture and don't see a simularity in it with us, yet just as beams and walls and cielings support buildings, bones, ligaments and skin support what we inhabit and live in. Just as a building's foundation and subsequent floors affect how it stands and reacts in an earthquake or wind storm, how we walk, position our pelvises, carry our shoulders and ...

Handbook of Mathematical Models in Computer Vision1 review

Springer, 2005

Review from IARP (Arjan Kuijper)
When attending a general computer vision conference like xCCV, did you ever feel lost at certain sessions? Well, don't always blame the presenters! The field covered by Computer Vision has become so broad that it is almost impossible to understand what is going on and to keep track of the latest developments. To (partially) overcome this problem, the editors of the Handbook of Mathematical Models ...
