Great Review Book
I loved this book to study for end-of clinical rotation exams as well as boards. It is a general overview when you want a quick refresher, and has plenty of room in the margins to write notes. I got the outline review in combination with the Q&A book and feel they were very beneficial. I still pull out the outline review book every so often now that I am a practicing PA-C.

Excellent!
This book is an excellent review of Mammography. If you are a registered Xray tech, it is very similar to the Radiography Yellow Book.

Finally!
From the Firm Profile: Appleton & Associates strives to avoid a repetitiously personalized style and the self-conciousness of "signature" design. It is a firm committed to the idea that architecture is principally a craft rather than an art, and a process rather than an object. Appleton & Associates long awaited book is everything I hoped it would be. After following their excellent ...

Practice CD helped...ALOT
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I trained through the US Army Radiology Specialist program and this review helped me alot. It came highly recommended by all the instructors and they weren't kidding. There is alot of info in each question and it is harder than the actual registry. Each question they ask in the book is like 2 or 3 questions on the actual test so if you take the chapter reviews and read the ...

got the job done
I used this book as a primary resource for my 3rd year shelf exam (with Blueprints as a fall-back), and I got a 4.0. I saw a number of questions and scenarios on the test that I recogized from this text.

Excellent review for ultrasound physics
This book is a great investment for those preparing for the ARDMS Physics boards. It should be used along with a good physics text (such as Edelman's Understanding Ultasound Physics). Appleton and Lange's study guide provides a good REVIEW of physics; however, there is NOT enough material to study to fully prepare students to sit for the boards. The 500+ questions following the study guide ...

Helpful Prep Book
I found this book very helpful for the Surgery shelf exam. I used this book and Surgery Recall (a must in most surgery clerkships) and felt well prepared for the shelf. I scored well above the national mean and the class mean. The only other factor was that our clerkship had a strong didatics aspect and that we were taught very well during lectures.

Good Stuff for practise
It is good in the sense that reviews every major system in medicine. But at the same time contains information not very relavant or important for the exam.Good if you have time but does not contain high yield material if you need a concise review.

A Nice Q-bank
I am using this with my Anatomy class. Many of the questions hummm... were very similar to what my Profs had on the exam. With Snell and BRS - I was well prepared on each area we covered. The pictures with the ID this structure are also very good for labs. I think any medical student would want to have this as a study aid.

Excellent Prep for PA test
Great way to QUICKLY focus and prep for the national PA test. I used this book and I just passed the PA test, even though I had limited time to study. Questions are divided according to the various medical specialties (Peds, ID, GI, etc.) which helps focus your review so you can concentrate on your weak areas, while avoiding wasting your time reviewing questions in your strong specialty areas.

The only book needed for pscyh clerkship
I bought this book at the beginning of my psych clerkship and would go through a chapter each week to study. I felt like the questions were slightly hard, but figured that since I was able to get a passing score with each chapter section, then I would do well on the shelf exam. I ended up doing extremely well on the shelf exam using only this resource.
