A very helpful book
This book is very accurate. Why that should be, I couldn't say. What is particularly helpful about it is that it gives a small paragraph about each sign's compatibility with every other sign, including the predicted outcome (such as "an enjoyable affair, but an unhappy marriage," or "an ardent affair, a lasting union"). It mentions why two people will fight, and whether or not they can ...

Astrology: an Art that is "a tool for promoting self-knowledge"
The book "Astrology, Psychology and the Four Elements" by Stephen Arroyo is an interesting viewpoint of astrology that emphasizes an individual's psychological make-up from an astrological perspective. Published in 1975, Mr. Arroyo divided the book into two parts. The first part he entitled "Astrology & Psychology", which contains eight chapters. The second part he entitled "The Four Elements: ...

VERY ACCURATE!
This book contains 90% very accurate descriptions of characters and personality of the 12 chinese signs x the 12 western signs. I got this book many years ago, and it is accurate when I read her readings for my father, sisters and friends. I would say I find her description to be 90% accurate, I think the 10% deviation may be factoring in environmental influence (eg. if she says this person likes ...

Great Intro to Astrology+software for charts
I am a beginner who struggle often with birth times/time zones (I was not born in the USA/western hemisphere), and this new edition includes a CD-ROM that spits out a natal chart within a minute after you input the date, time, place of birth! Just that was worth the price of this book! I also appreciate the reference page following the natal chart, which directs the reader to the appropriate ...

GREAT Beginning Astrology Book
I completely enjoyed this book. It was interactive enough to keep me busy and informative enough to keep me excited about filling out each page. I would highly recommend this book to anyone in the process of taking their astrology knowledge to the "next level." Basically, you fill in a lot of charts, keywords and more...all about your own chart. You will end up practically memorizing keywords ...
Aspects in Astrology: A Guide to Understanding Planetary Relationships in the Horoscope

good
In depth analysis of the way different planets combine in aspects. Does not narrow down by aspect, but, for example will have 2-3pages on mercury-venus instead of having different, shorter paragraphs for each different type of aspect. I really liked it.

Had to buy it!
This wonderful book by Jan Spiller is not new to me. I consulted its wise pages some years ago when I borrowed it from a friend. Now I have found I really need to have a copy of my own, and have sent two as gifts to others. I find the various descriptions of North Nodes extremely accurate. A real find.

An Astrology Bible
Yes, if one were looking for an astrology book that taught one accurately how to calculate a chart, this one would leave you in the dark. However, if one is just using this as a reference to a ready made chart (and there are many internet sites that will do this for you for free. See Astro Dienst) this is a very thorough and informative reference. Before buying any astrology book (of which I own ...

Astrology for those who want something rock-steady
Bernadette Brady can be best described in this way: Understated Competance - so understated in fact that one might believe that this is some kind of cute storybook because that's what the title might suggest. I assure you, it is not. Bernadette's methods are very technical and the way she lays the information out, if studied diligently, will lead the student of astrology to excellence I've found ...

Beautiful!
William Levacy is brilliant. In this new book he breaks down Vedic Astrology into easy-to-understand concepts - looking at each house, each planet, and each sign individually, and explaining how they relate to the overall chart. Vedic astrology is absolutely fascinating. This book is wonderful. Also covered is a key to Vedic forecasting, remedial measures, the deities, and so much more. The ...

A review of Kabbalistic Astrology and the Meaning of Our Lives
I should preface this review by stating that I have read other books by Philip Berg and by his sons, and therefore have some familiarity with the material and the terminology. The book that introduced me to this system (Kabbalah)was "The 72 Names of God," which for me was an amazing eye-opener. Specifically with reference to the Astrology book, I would like to say that the information it has ...

Hail Pluto, those of us who are about to die, salute you
My humorous title for this review is in contrast to my profound respect for Liz Greene and the job she has done with this book about the planet Pluto, the planet of death and transformation. I always, always recommend this book to my clients who are Plutonic (Scorpio in the personal signs or on the Ascendant, Pluto conjuncting inner planets, important planets in the 8th house, etc.). Their names ...

I had interests in Astrology since childhood, but in India I was not able to find the good books. Although I had leared the hard way of creating Birth-Chart (Janam Patri)through Panchang and some knowledge of my Pandit Jee. Resently I had started reading lots of books about Astrology written by Western and Indian Authors. Both has different approches as Western wrtiers makes the book easy to read ...

The best introduction to jyotish ever.
When I signed up for Brendan Feeleys' introductory course in jyotish (vedic astrolgy), this was the textbook. Need I say more?
