Media in your Life is Must Reading for Mass Com Students
This book is an excellent introduction to mass media in America. It is one of the few attempts around to draw together a look at the various forms of mass communications--from MTV to the movies to the Internet. While intended for the college student, it also is a good reference for anyone seeking to understand the rapidly changing media landscape in America.

Fiendishly Good Read
Wow! What a read: I couldn't put it down once I started it! It's obviously well-researched, but it read like a novel. I never knew what historical figure I would meet on the next page, Keith crossed so many paths. Larabee has done an excellent job bringing to light little-known aspects of wanton terrorism, with its roots in the U.S. Civil War and extending to the Continent.
