Analytic Jurisprudence Anthology (Anthology Series)

A solid survey of the schools of thought in law, with bias
This collection of article excerpts and editor comments is a good casual read, but it has enough substance to make a worthwhile introduction to Philosophy of Law. D'Amato's preference for Natural Law & Justice theory shines through a bit, but he seems to provide enough material for every position to make a case for themselves.

electrodiagnostic medicine
This is perhaps the best most extensive book in the field of electrodiagnostic medicine. It is a great study and reference book for the physician as well as the technologist. It doesn't get much better than this!

IP Law Professors - Avoid this book!!!
Although this book purports to be about international intellectual property, it approaches the subject with such a leaning toward the US system that I feel as if I'm re-taking an intro to US IP. This book is bad. The cases, while illustrative, are nearly all US cases. Consider other alternatives when selecting a book for your class - perhaps a book that understands the word "international" ...

Neuromuscular & Peripheral Nerve Disorders
1 review
McGraw-Hill, 2008
great book
This is a great book for neurology residents trying to get a review of neuromuscular diseases, or even for attendings in neuromuscular disease looking to review and refresh. I plan to use it to study for the neuromuscular boards this fall. Great picutres of disease, pathology photos, tables for differential dx and up to date treatment recommendations. Overall, a book that fills a void in the ...

Great review of EMG
This is a great review for EMG. It is is organized into individual cases, but the authors do a good job of explaining EMG/NCV concepts after each case. It is NOT meant to be a reference book. I used it, and I passed both the ABEM's board for EMG and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology's Certification in Clinical Neurophysiology. Make sure (as with any book of this type) that you ...

Desegregation from Brown to Alexander: An Exploration of the Supreme Court Strategies
Stephen L. Wasby
, Anthony A. D'Amato, ...
Southern Illinois University
, 1977
Positing the hypothesis that the United States Supreme Court makes rather than finds the law, this analysis of race relations cases provides a model by which to examine Court strategies. While the primary focus of the study is on Brown v. Board of Education , which was central to the “social revolution” started by the Court in its 1954 and 1955 rulings and which continued, perhaps more consciously, thereafter, this is not ...
The Alien Tort Claims Act: An Analytical Anthology
Transnational Publishers
, 1999
The Alien Tort Claims Act is virtually unique in U.S. legislation for its clear recognition of international human rights. This unparalleled collection of essays, the only extensive work on the Act, draws together the best analyses and interpretations written to date, under the editorship of two of America's most untraditional and imaginative theorists of international law, and makes a formidable case for the Alien Tort Claims Act as a powerful ...
