it's a treasure!
Witty Words from wise Women, by B.J. Gallagher, is a treasure that women will want to buy for all their girlfriends-and themselves. The book's 13 sections target topics such as: o men ("The cock may crow, but it's the hen that lays the eggs." Margaret Thatcher) o love and marriage ("Men who have a pierced ear are better prepared for marriage-they've experienced pain and bought jewelry." Rita ...

Semi-Fabulous
This book really does examine at least some of the causes and effects of stereotyping. Part One provides a fable with allegorical dimensions and implications. Part Two discusses how the lessons learned from the fable can be applied to the so-called "real world." I would have rated this book higher had there been more substance in Part Two. I would have rated it lower had the fable suggested ...

Diversity Without Defensiveness
I finally got around to reading this bestseller and now understand why it's sold so many copies. The beauty of this little book is that it gets at important diversity issues that are often emotionally "loaded" for people, but without making people defensive. I find that many people have set up psychological fences around their attitudes toward race, gender and ethnicity. They've been ...

Great Resource for Diversity Training
I am an attorney practicing labor and employment law and have used this book in diversity training. It is the best I have read, and believe it conveys the benefits of diversity in a simple and easy to understand way. All levels of employees, from rank and file to top executives, can (and in my experience do)relate to its message.

Absolutely delightful - and RIGHT ON!
I just don't understand why I am not reading about this little book everywhere. Maybe because it doesn't look like a typical book it can't find a place in a bookstore. But frankly, it has more true business wisdom than I found in such "bestsellers" as Good to Great, Gung Ho, or even Customers for Life. I suggest you buy several copies, give them to your staff, and see if they don't make a ...
