Mavericks of the Sky: The First Daring Pilots of the U.S. Air Mail8 reviews
Barry Rosenberg, Catherine Macaulay

Harper Perennial, 2007

An exciting story of a forgotten chapter in American history
Dear Readers, the co-author and I have been thrilled at the positive response to the publication of MAVERICKS OF THE SKY, and while we understand that not every story is for every taste, we have to take exception with the comments of Mr. Carnett in his review of our book (in his first review on Amazon). There have been a number of obscure scholarly works on the subject of the founding of the ...

KornShell Programming Tutorial (Hewlett-Packard Press Series)35 reviews
Barry J. Rosenberg

Addison-Wesley Professional, 1991

Great book for older Korn Shell versions
This books covers pre 93 Korn shell. However this actually makes learning the shell more simple. At work we have a pre-93 version so the instructions are sure to work. The author's "93" version of the book is also good, but a bit harder to understand for a beginner.

Spring Into Technical Writing for Engineers and Scientists (Spring Into... Series)9 reviews
Barry J. Rosenberg

Addison-Wesley Professional, 2005

Great Book!!
There's an interesting story to how I got this book, "Spring Into Technical Writing". I subscribe to a HTML email list that I don't read that often. However, one day, I saw a mention of "Technical Writing" in the subject line and browsed through the email. In the email was a link to a review of "Spring Into Technical Writing". After reading the review, I was immediately hooked but did not ...

I also have the first edition, which has come in very useful on many ocassions over the past few years, and holds a prime place on my shelf. This book takes us to the next level and provides all the information for both the novice and experienced programmer or system adminstrator. It even takes us into the realms of HTML and CGI. This book is about KornShell programming, not a free software ...

Holmes Limit
I completely enjoyed The Holmes Limit. The story captures your attention immediately. I especially recommend the story to kids that play team sports or parents of children that play sports. The ending was great!

Lots of Description
This excerpt has a nice opening scene, with Jonan waking up and the reader being directed to all of the details of his futuristic world, from his alarm clock to the ability of the room to change to accommodate his needs. Jonan's description of himself is interesting, and also does a nice job of presenting more information about the possibilities and realities of his world. After the initial ...
