Hedge Knight TPB1 review
George R. R. Martin, Ben Avery, ...

Marvel Comics, 2007

Solid adaptation, but you may already own it
For those of you who already own the Hedge Knight trade paperback that was originally published by Devil's Due, this is the exact same material you've already seen, re-released by Marvel Comics. It may have different cover art, but if you order the book expecting something new you will be disappointed. Now, on to the book itself... I was a bit skeptical when I heard that someone was going to ...

Hedge Knight, Vol. 1 (Book Market Edition)12 reviews
George R. R. Martin, Ben Avery, ...

Marvel Comics, 2007

Excellent Adaptation!!
I don't have too much to add to what others have already said, but I would just like to say that the graphic novel was very true to the feel and plot of the original story by Martin. The art is so impressive that a lot of times I just stared at the larger pictures picking out all the detail I could. It's amazing!! Definately read this book if you are into collecting George R.R. Martin or if ...

Valley of Dry Bones (Z Graphic Novels / Kingdoms: A Biblical Epic)1 review
Ben Avery

Zondervan, 2008

Good explanation of a difficult period
If you are looking for a good kid accessible explanation of the period between the Babylonian exile and the return under the Persian empire, get this book. It doesn't show much of the history, but it shows people's attitudes and the background to Ezekiel's prophecies.

Hedge Knight II: Sworn Sword Premiere HC (Hedge Knight II)4 reviews
George R. R. Martin, Ben Avery, ...

Marvel Comics, 2008

A great follow up to an already great series
When I read the first Hedge Knight, I was blown away by the story, art and detail. I never expected Marvel to adapt Song of Ice and Fire to a graphic novel. I was kind of skeptical at first...but then i read it and it was everything and more. The Sworn Sword is the follow up to the Hedge Knight, the tale of a young Ser Duncon the Tall of the Kingsguard (Dunk), and his young squire and soon to ...

The Coming Storm (Kingdoms #1: A Biblical Epic)1 review
Ben Avery

Zondervan, 2007

Finally!
I'll admit I'm a manga fan -- but I usually like the more offbeat mangas such as KINGDOM HEARTS, RETURN TO LABYRINTH, and SERENITY. And now, I have to add a new series to my favorites: KINGDOMS. I got really excited when I saw this series come into my local Christian bookstore -- and when I flipped through THE COMING STORM, I began to get even more excited. Finally, a really well-done Christian ...

The Hedge Knight20 reviews
George R. R. Martin, Ben Avery, ...

Devil's Due Publishing, 2004

Excellent Tale of Chivalry
To begin with, I have enjoyed the Song of Fire and Ice from the beginning, and I have been itching for the new book for some time. When I heard there was a graphic novel, I was both interested and disappointed. The first because it was another tale in a very interesting setting. The second because A Feast of Crows had been running late and would rather have had the book instead of the graphic ...
