Magical.....
The little squeegy bug didn't know who or what he was. He wasn't an ant or a cricket or even a flea and he wanted to find his purpose in life. When he met Buzzer the Bumblebee, he decided he wanted to be special, just like him. But how could he find a pair of silver wings and a stinger? Buzzer tells Squeegy he'll have to touch the sky to get a beautiful pair of silver wings like his. So that's ...

Barn Dance!
As an avid square dancer this delightful book captures the joy and thrill of an evening of dancing. I have shared it with my two granddaughters, ages 7 and 4. Although they question why we might dance with the cows and chickens, as shown in the wonderful illustrations, they have a better understanding of what we do at a square dance. My husband is a caller and finds the scarecrow a charming ...

A New Family Tradition
I read "Santa, My Life and Times" with my two boys, ages 4 and 6, over the week prior to Christmas. We took advantage of its longer format to spread it out over several nights, one or two chapters at a time. While I was at first worried that the youngsters' short attention spans would wane, the story, writing and illustrations are so rich that their interest only grew with each night's ...

A positive children's book for kids and parents too!
What a beautiful and simple way to tell the Bible stories! I loved this book! If you liked "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, what do you see" by Bill Martin Jr. and Eric Carle you will love this one even more. "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, what do you see" has been my son's favorite book since he was 6months old, now "Adam, Adam, what do you see" will be my second son's favorite. Bill Martin Jr. has a ...

An Indispensable Wonder
Growing up in the 60s & 70s, I wasn't much enamored of comic strips appearing in the newspaper with a scant few exceptions. Newspaper comics were awfully stale if not comatose at the time; they smell even worse now. In light of this reality, thank God I found this book 20 years ago. To me, this mammoth oversized anthology of color and b/w strips (mostly vintage 1895-1950) was and is an education, ...

Perfect!
This is such a fun book to read to a young child. My four year old daughter loved the pace of the book, and couldn't wait to see how it all ends. She absolutely loved the characters and the cute little drawings of them. When we finished the book, she wanted to read it again right away. And again, and again and again. That's the true test of a childrens' book!

Highly recommend
This book was a gift and will be a gift for others from us. It taught my 1 year old through it's wonderful sing song rhyme to it's beautifully colorful illustrations, her body parts in two days. She brings it to me and can't read it enough. We highly recommend this for any age.

Even adults never tire of this one!!!
I work in an elementary school with children of all ages and do a ton of babysitting. When I first heard this CD I fell in love with it. Every child that I've introduced to it has also loved it. It's one book/CD even an adult won't get tired of listening to!

Beautifully Illustrated story for young children.
In this story, which is told in rhyme, a small mouse insists on teasing a cat, while the cat is lounging on a hammock, drinking ice water, and generally minding his own business. A chase ensues each time the mouse begins the tease and the mouse scampers back to his mother to save him. By books end, the mouse has learned that it is not wise to tease. This book is extraordinary in its ...

We LOVE this book!!
This is a great book to read to antsy kids. My child not only istened, but got very involved with the characters, soon WE were a hippopota-family! Who can resist saying, "Hippopotamama"? The text flows beautifully and the illustrations are playful and just perfect for this tale! If you loved the Happy Hippopotomi, then I wholeheartedly recommend, "The Maestro Plays" also by Bill Martin, Jr.

My Kids' Favorite
This book was my daughter's favorite when she was a baby. Now her new little brother has reacted in the same way. Little ones don't often have to patience to sit still while you read every page of a book, but for some reason they find the Maestro so captivating that they request it over and over again. Our little crawler will drag it across the room and plop it in my lap. How can you say ...

Inspiring and historical
Extracts of autobiographical writings by notable Christians, with a focus on the moment of conversion in their lives. One would have to spend quite alot of money to assemble the original literature from which this was culled. An excellent digest, recommended for devout Christians and seekers.
