How to Deal with Annoying People: What to Do When You Can't Avoid Them13 reviews
Bob Phillips, Kimberly Alyn

Harvest House Publishers, 2005

Read this book if you want to improve ANY relationship
This book shows you what you can do to improve any relationship by responding to a person's individual personality type. I learned a lot about myself and how I relate to others. I feel more confidant about communicating with people, especially those who can be difficult.

How Can I Be Sure?: Questions to Ask Before You Get Married10 reviews
Bob Phillips

Harvest House Publishers, 1999

I'm Still Sure
In 1989, my fiance and I purchased this book. He had not yet proposed, but we knew our relationship was heading in that direction. We wanted this to be the marriage that lasted the rest of our lives, so we did everything we could to learn how to be successful in marriage. Divorce was not an option. We went through the book one chapter at a time. He had a copy, and I had a copy. We worked ...

Fabulous and Funny Clean Jokes for Kids3 reviews
Bob Phillips, Steve Russo

Harvest House Publishers, 2004

Silly fun
Very corny jokes and riddles, which delighted my seven-year-old grandsons. I'd estimate that maybe a fourth to a third of them were a little over their heads, though, containing unfamiliar words or concepts. But then the book IS recommended for ages 9-12. I'd say it's perfect for age 9, but still fun for younger kids who can read.

The Best of the Good Clean Jokes5 reviews
Bob Phillips

Harvest House Publishers, 2001

Funniest Book Around
This book is the funniest book I've ever read. It has jokes from a to z. Bob really finds the funny part of everything. "Hitler always consults with his consultents before doing something. 'What day am I going to die' asks Hitler. His consultent responds ' On a Jewish holiday.' 'How do you know that?''Because any day you die will become a Jewish holiday!" Everybody should have this bok in hand.

Babylon Rising: The Secret on Ararat (Babylon Rising)44 reviews
Tim Lahaye, Bob Phillips

Bantam, 2006

Babylon Rising Books
I ordered this book and the rest of the series ... the books were in excellent shape and I am enjoying the read very much. These books are hard to put down and I feel that they are more interesting than the "Left Behind" series. The attention to Biblical detail is enlightening.

Anger Is a Choice3 reviews
Dr. Tim LaHaye, Bob Phillips

Zondervan, 2002

Life Changing!
I have struggled with anger from the time I was a child. It's to the point now where I am desperate for change. It was that desperation that caused me to pick up this book. I loved the way the authors used real life examples and charts and diagrams. I also got so much out of the self-tests. The section on temperment was very eye opening for my personally. I definitely found my own temperment. But ...

The Delicate Art of Dancing With Porcupines: Learning to Appreciate the Finer Points of Others3 reviews
Bob Phillips

Regal Books, 1989

a book worth re-reading over and over
dancing.... is more than an entertaining book. It's scope and insight that your behavior style +behavior orientaton and how they reveal your personal social style is very insightful. One of the few books that I would not only recommend to my friends but one of the few I find worth buying and giving as a help.

Babylon Rising: The Edge of Darkness (Babylon Rising)21 reviews
Tim Lahaye, Bob Phillips

Bantam, 2006

Tim LaHaye does it again
Tim LaHaye has a way with blending fiction into biblical prophecy. His stories are fast-paced, and hard to put down. "The Edge of Darkness" tells of the fast approaching time of the anti-christ. This series is a must read for everybody.

Linux Appliance Design: A Hands-On Guide to Building Linux Appliances4 reviews
Bob Smith, John Hardin, ...

No Starch Press, 2007

Lots of quirky, interesting content
First of all, you know that when you see the word "appliance" in this context, you should think more like a router or alarm system (the book uses this as a development framework), not a refrigerator, say. [Although (shudder!) the latter could be a sweet example in the near future.] And, before I write another word I should state upfront: I was a technical reviewer of this book. I found lots ...

Absolute Honesty: Building a Corporate Culture That Values Straight Talk and Rewards Integrity11 reviews
Larry Johnson, Bob Phillips

AMACOM, 2003

Absolute Honesty
I enjoyed reading this book because anyone can relate to it. There are always "real" stories in each chapter which is an excellent way to describe what the writers are trying to emphasis. "Absolute Honesty" is also a wonderful book for women. Many times women find themselves in situations where they want to be honest, but are extremely uncomfortable or fear they won't be listened to. ...
