Excellent book for teaching church history to kids - or learning it yourself!
This book, and its companion, Peril and Peace, is a well-written collection of narratives about important Christians. The stories are descriptive and interesting, and give you a real sense of "being there". Great overview for adults and children
I found volume one in the History Lives series to be very readable and have given several copies as gifts to friends with children.
