Rethink Your Use of Fabrics
I needed the ideas in this book to use the vintage lace that I'd collected and the stacks of old quilts hidden away in the closet. These were things that attracted me at flea markets and yard sales, but then I had trouble working them into my decor. The idea of hanging antique clothing on the wall like a piece of art really appeals. This is a great book for any fabric-aholic out there.

simple classic designs beautifully photographed
oh first glance, nothing much. but after you look at it awhile, you see how simplicity sometimes is great. I hate doing back and forth stockinette as much as the next knitter, but I have to do some of these clothes. especially good is the jacket on the cover. looks good on body types from large woman to skinny teen. try taking a second look at the patterns.

Endless inspiration
I found 'On Display' in the local library and was delighted with it. The text is actually relevant to the photos and enlarges on the ideas illustrated without getting technical or arty crafty. In fact, even on its own, the text of the book inspires creativity. I am surprised that the previous reviewer was so disappointed. Perhaps a better book for her would be one on storage such as ...
