Where To Little Wombat5 reviews
Charles Fuge

Gullane Children's Books, 2007

Review
I like Fuge's stories. I bought the Little Wombat series for my niece a couple of years ago, and now that my nephew and two second cousins have been born, I've stockpiled same to gift to each of them during their formative years. Cute little stories- the fact that they are in durable board book form is a great plus. I hope they all like the books as much as I do!

toddler loves it
fuge stories really grab my son's attention and he wasn't much interested in reading/books until then. MY DAD is his ultimate favorite (same author). fuge dates himself when having the little girl "dance to a tape"...my kid won't get that technological reference! :)

My Dad!5 reviews
Charles Fuge

Gullane Children's Books, 2008

my twins love it!
I bought this book as a gift to my husband from his one year old b/g twins for Father's Day. Here it is the beginning of November, and it's still the twins most favorite book. True, the story line is simple (great for those VERY young readers like mine), but the pictures are wonderful (colorful & lots of detail), and the pages have a little weight to them so they don't rip as easily as some other ...

Sometimes I Like to Curl up in a Ball20 reviews
Vicki Churchill, Charles Fuge

Sterling, 2003

I don't often write these, but this book is perfect
I stumbled onto this book while looking for a copy of Dig Dig Digging (which my son prefers with near religious intensity). Sometimes I Like to Curl Up in a Ball has adorable and high quality illustrations - even down to the look on the butterfly's face that is caught in a wombat yell. It also contains very funny and comforting prose - not too long and not too short. I cannot think of a more ...

Gilbert the Great3 reviews
Jane Clarke

Scholastic Inc., 2005

Gilbert the Great is a great book
I am 2 1/2 and I love this book. The pictures of the sharks are great and I like to find the stingrays. I am a big fan of all ocean life books so this is a great story.

Adventures of Little Wombat2 reviews
Vicki Churchill, Angela McAllister

Sterling, 2008

Love love love
Adventures of Little Wombat My daughter is so in love with Little Wombat. It is nice to have all of the stories in one place (although I wish there were more stories..) The pictures are bright and cheerful and the animals make her laugh as she points them out to us.

Found You, Little Wombat!2 reviews
Angela McAllister, Charles Fuge

Sterling, 2003

Every night this year!
My son (born 05/00) ADORES this book. He gets four stories every night before bed if he's a good listener otherwise a story gets taken away. So far, FYLW (as we refer to it) has been *the* book to read, even if he's down to one! More than any other story this tale has really sparked my son's imagination. We sometimes 'act out' the adventure during family playtime. During the reading, my son will ...

Sometimes I Like to Curl Up in a Ball15 reviews
Vicki Churchill, Charles Fuge

Sterling, 2001

better than goodnight moon
We have been reading good night moon to our daughter since she was born till about 11 months. Our baby sitter gave us this book as a gift and our daughter loves it. For a few weeks we gave her the choice of which book she wanted us to read at night and every time she picked the wombat book. Enough said. She giggles whenever we read it.

Very Interactive!!
Our 18 month old loves this book. We have alot of fun with this one and now our son joins right in by panting, sniffing, and scratching etc... If you haven't seen "I Know a Rhino" yet that is another Charles Fuge book that is a big big hit in our home. These are great stories and the illustrations are outstanding. Great as a gift or for your own child.

Gilbert in Deep (Book & CD)1 review
Jane Clarke

Simon & Schuster Children's, 2009

The story is not cohesive--too many mixed messages
I will say that my 6 and 3 year old boys liked this book, which is why I gave it 3 stars. I didn't really enjoy it, though, because it had too much that just didn't make sense. Frankly, I think the problem is that the book was trying to express too many morals at the same time without tying them together in any way: listen to your parents, it's okay to admit your afraid, and don't be afraid to ...
