This book was an excellent book on the principles of management. The student CD was a great help in reviewing each chapter prior to class. The quizzes also helped in understanding the objectives. Would reccommend this book to anyone taking a business course.

A great strategic book
It doesn't matter that this is a case studies book. Though you don't anything about strategy, you will learn strategy through an entertaining reading. It shows a lot of cases studies, with detailed information about the strategies followed by some industries: Computers, Japanese Bear, Automotive, etc. It's a great choice!

An excellent introduction to strategic management. Very readable and flows exceptionally well. Diagrams a bit to basic, but easy on the reader. Clear and concise (no MBA jargon). Don't waste any time in this book ! Please !!
There are a lot of description in this book is just the author's opinion. And ususlly, the auther's opinion don't showing consistency of reasoning. For example, in page 85, this book tells us that innovation will lead an industry to fragmentation rather than consolidation. How a doubtful theory !! The author doesn't prove it, but just only say it.
