Gets right to the point
This was the text book for my assembly class. I found that this book goes straight to the point and shows you what the language can do, with out the usual pages of rambling that other computer science books have. Code examples are clear, precise and easy to understand. I highly suggest this book for beginners. Dr. Yu and Dr. Marut wrote a winner here.

Hilarious and thought-provoking.
Charles Yu's short stories are reminiscent of Donald Barthelme, but he has his own sensibility. I have read these stories over and over, at least three times each, and each time I enjoy them again. "Florence" is unforgettable. People I know who've read the book seem to be divided into two camps; one thinks the title story is the best, the other thinks it's the worst. I happen to be in the ...
Smiles of the Baby Buddha
Charles M. Mueller
Changbi Publishers, inc
, 1999
The Smiles of the Baby Buddha has been published with the idea that it might serve as a guide to both the beauty and the faults of Ky?ngju, and by extension, an introduction to Korean culture. This book also serves as a good guidebook for foreigners visiting Ky?ngju, and foreigners who come to understand Korean culture and the innate spirit of the People.Whereas many works on Korean cultural sites are little more than guidebooks, Prof. ...

Most Outstanding Old Testament Theology on the market
Having known Bruce Waltke personally for over thirty years and valuing his scholarship as one of the finest OT scholars in the world, I find his OT Theology to be his premier work. Typical of Bruce's high standards, this volume displays decades of his rigorous exegesis and meticulous care for the accuracy of the Biblical texts along with his masterful development of the themes of the OT and how ...

Enlightening
Earlier I read another book by Charles Luk which was on Master Hsu Yun's discourses and Dharma words and the Diamond Sutra, called "Chan and Zen Teachings, 1st Series". Reading the words of Master Hsu Yun was enlightening and motivating, so I was curious to read another book of Luk's- Taoist Yoga. I was not disappointed. This book gives all the basic information you might be curious about ...

A Treasure Trove of Teachings!
This text deserves all the praise heaped on it by one of the reviewers. There is not a wasted word in it. It is thoroughly practical, and rightly so, because (a) based on the teachings of experienced masters and (b) translated by an eminent lay-practicioner. Master Hsu Yun (1840-1959) recommended that Lu KUan Yu (Charles Luk) should present these texts. Be it the Surangama Sutra, Ch'an (Zen,T'ien ...
