Game of My Life: Memorable Stories of Packers Football
Chuck Carlson
Sports Publishing LLC
, 2004
When Bart Starr snuck across the goal line in the withering cold of Lambeau Field to beat the Dallas Cowboys in 1967. "The Ice Bowl" became the greatest game in Green Bay Packers history. Unless, of course, it was the NFC championship win over the Carolina Panthers in 1997 that sent the Packers back to the Super Bowl for the first time in 30 years. Maybe it was that mind-bending 48-47 Monday night win over the Washington Redskins in 1983, or ...

Okay book, but large "scratch" on cover
Book arrived quickly, but we were disappointed to take it out of the package and see a large (about an inch long) red ink mark on the very front cover of the book (upper right hand corner). Even after getting the red pen ink off, the scratch/indentation of the line from the pen mark still was there, and quite noticeable. It was too close to Christmas to mess with returning it, so we kept it and ...

Kirby, best Twin ever
The book is a very basic story of Kirby Puckett that leads much to be desired by the more mature fan. The book while a good read, seems to be written more for kids. As the other reviewer mentioned, a good read but for a better biography we will have to wait for Puckett to come out with his own later in life. The story of the man before his image was permanently tarnished. Brings you back to ...
Tales from the Packers Sideline
Chuck Carlson
Sports Publishing
, 2006
There are probably as many stories from the Green Bay Packers sideline as there are fans of one of the country's most storied sports franchises. That's what Tales from the Packers Sideline is all about.Since the earliest days of professional football, the Packers have been as much a part of the game as the ball itself-from Curly Lambeau to Johnny "Blood" McNally; from Bart Starr to Ray Nitschke; from the Ice Bowl to Vince Lombardi to Mike ...
Titletown Again: The Superbowl Season of the 1996 Green Bay Packers
Chuck Carlson
Addax Publishing Group
, 1997
There was a feeling, even from the sultry days of training camp, that these Green Bay Packers were special. There was nothing anyone could put a finger on exactly, just a premonition that the 1996 Packers were destined for something big. And the inklings of July turned into the reality of January as the Packers rolled to their first Super Bowl title in 29 years. It is a story that chronicles the determination of quarterback Brett ...

Great Insight from the Players
I really enjoyed this book! I've read the Packers' history books and the players' autobiographies, but this book is unique in that it asks various players what was their most memorable game as a Packer. It is well organized and written. My 10 year-old son is reading it now!

Nostalgic, but not all that great.
Dale Bick Carson, The Plant People (Franklin Watts, 1977) I tracked a copy of this down last week. I hadn't read it since it originally came out; we're coming up on three decades since then. Despite the estimated fifteen thousand books that have crossed my eyes since then, images from this book were stuck (most of them distorted, as it turned out, but still kind of accurate) in my head after ...
