Internet 101 for artists
Was o.k., but lacked "how to" info that I was expecting. It deals with general information, which is good for beginners, but does not have any "meat". The only exception was the "Selling on E-Bay" section, which is very helpful. If only the rest of the book were written by this person!

Took so many notes....
I took so many notes when reading this as a library book that I've decided I'd better just own it. One of the best books on marketing my artwork and making a living as an artist that I've ever come across, and I've read several.

Good for Internet Beginners
This book was easy to read and definitely for beginners. The explanations for e-mail, surfing the web, etc, were simple and thorough. The chapters on designing your web site and selling art on Ebay were extremely good. I'm not an internet newbie by any means but I've read (and liked) most books by ArtNetwork Press so I wanted to give this one a try. While most of the information was way too ...

The Subtitle Says It All
This is the story of photographic reconnaisance and photographic intelligence/interpretation in the Second World War, as told from the British persepective and largely of the British experience. The book was originally published in 1957 but republished in 2004. It suffers mildly from mistypes and double words, which is a product of careless editing of the first publishing or bad replication for ...

Rose Macaulay
An informative biography that adds considerable background to Rose Macaulay's letters and her novel The Towers of Trebizond.
Amy Johnson
Constance Babington Smith
The History Press
, 2004
The Sunday Times, July 2003: The biggest problem facing any biographer of Amy Johnson is that Constance Babington Smith got there first. Her seminal life, written in 1966, told most of what there is to tell about Amy in elegant prose. In May, 1930, Amy Johnson, a typist from Hull, took off from Croydon Airport with a thermos flask and a packet of sandwiches to try and beat the world solo record to Australia. She arrived, sun-blistered and with ...
