An excellent reference
The price tag may limit this reference to the most dedicated reference library; but this new 2001 edition updates a reference which has not seen a new edition in seven years: there are many changes to contact information and details on facilities, activities, and special features have also changed. This edition of Parks Directory Of The United States also enjoys web site and e-mail addresses ...

Excellent reference book
It took a long time for decent BizTalk Server books to start appearing, and those of us who have been committed to the product for some time know the pain (and fun) of having to work out, for ourselves, how this product works, how best to apply it to real-life scenarios and how to exploit its rich functionality. I was really impressed with this book. It has two characteristics which I think ...

This story will make you laugh and cry, and beg for escape.
This is the second of Darren Smith's books I've read. And it too is a winner. It is written as a first person account of the life of Thomas Greene, an outcast, from his family and society, at age12, after suddenly becoming stricken with Alopecia Universalis. Mr. Smith then takes us on a down and dirty journey through Greene's life. I was riveted throughout the book as each chapter impelled me ...

Highly inventive
Unlike other BH 90210 books, this was not so much a novelization of an existing TV script, but a whole new idea. "The Gang" imagines where they will go after college and high school (note, Drugs, Alcohol and other tragedys do not happen to the extent they did post "high school") Because it is devoid of the extreme non-monogamy, personal issues and drug/alcohol problems which did eventually ...

Speaker's EDGE Provides Motivation and Tips for Speaking Success
Last year I read World Class Speaking by Craig Valentine. It was one of the best books I've read about speaking, designing speeches, and building a speaking business. Craig is also a contributor to The Speaker's Edge, along with four other full-time speakers (Mark Brown, Darren LaCroix, Patricia Fripp, and Ed Tate). When I saw this, I quickly purchased this book as well. In addition to ...

When the worst happens...
Fade' is an outstanding novel. It is a modern day, tragic love story. Storytelling at its best!
This was a fantastic book. I highly recommend it to everyone, not just hopeful actors. Darren Smith is a great storyteller, ending each chapter in a cliffhanger so that you are drawn into the book, page-by-page. I love the way Mr. Smith presents his main character by building on a series of flashbacks. As we go from one chapter to the next we learn of Daniel Bliss's life by reading his ...

Searching for meaning through Christianity
I wish this book had appeared fifty years ago. It would have spoken to the needs of a young seeker stuggling with traditional religious instruction while studying academic philosophy and science. Today at 75 years of age it is nuturing to discover that my journey overlapped the quest of many others who wrestle with doubt in the stuggle to find some kind of fath.

Dead Skyline
This is a short little book. I read it in one sitting. It's a quick read, but has a lot of intrigue. I'm wondering why there is not a book description on Amazon? It would help, so I've written here what is on the book's back cover-hope this helps other readers. Robert Cummings' efforts to uncover information about his childhood friend, Kathleen Miller after her death, reveal aspects of her ...

Got the lot
This is a great book to get up to speed fast with After Effects. It also has some excellent explanations as to when and why you use certain options for imports, exports, renders, fields, 3:2 pulldown, etc. The book has some examples to work through that teach you a lot, but its also a great reference book, when you come across issues while you're working, you can usually find an answer quickly ...
