Different
I just finished this book. Awesome! It made me laugh, it made me cry and it made me read it in a bit over three days. If you are used to Baldacci's work like the The Camel Club and The Collectors you might be surprised. The beginning is a bit odd, but necessary for the Rest of the story. A must for people that dream of living on a lonely farm, that's for sure ;)!

TAKE ME HOME...COUNTRY HOME...
Having read a number of David Baldacci's books, most of which are well written, engrossing thrillers, this one is quite different. It is not a thriller but, rather, a beautifully written, human drama, most of which takes place in the mountains of Virginia. This is a coming of age story. It is the story of the Cardinal family, as seen throught the young eyes of twelve year old Louisa Mae ...

Wish You Well
This book is a departure from Baldacci's usual action/adventure thriller. Set predominantly in pre-WWII Southwestern Virginia, it's the story of a young teenage girl who loses her author-father in a car wreck and goes to live with her grandmother (also saddled with her little brother and mother, who's in a coma). While primarily a period piece and coming-of-age story, Baldacci still manages to ...

Great intrigue for a fall drive
A friend suggested this audio book for our fall color trip. Having never read the author before I was a little confused at the start but by the end I am anxious to read and hear more of Balldacci. Excellent for the triller enthusist.

David Baldacci - Last Man Standing
This is a different sort of novel for Baldacci, but he weaves an intricate storyline deftly. Although there are a few cliches underlying his storyline, the main character is someone you cannot help but root for as he unravels the sinister plot into which his life and friends have become involved.

wants more
A great follow up to the camel club. I didn't want it to end and hope there is room for another follow up. You get extremely invested in the characters. Read the books in sequence for the full effect.

Split Second
All David Baldacci books are fascinating. They have suspense, believability, and enough action to keep your interest throughout. I wish I could write like he does.
Absolute Power [UNABRIDGED CD] (Audiobook)

ABSOLUTE POWER
Absolute Power is one of the most memorable books I have ever read. It was the first David Baldacci novel that I read and I was so impressed that I have purchased every book that I can find that he has authored. Mr. Baldacci really knows how to construct a plot and he definitely knows how to bring the story to a conclusion that is satisfying, much unlike a number of other mystery writers. ...

Different than movie
I finally decided to go back and read the Baldacci thriller that I hadn't read. I was reluctant because I have seen the movie and thought I would be a step ahead every page. I was wrong. As usual, the book is better than the movie. The main premise of the book and movie is the same, but parts of the storyline and characters are a quite different. I would rate this as one of my favorite ...

A terrific read
This is an older novel that has lost none of its steam. Their are many twists and turns, but for the most part they retain the plausibility that often goes out the window. Since this is an older book and technology plays such a strong role, there are many things which technologically are out of date. If you look at it as a historical novel, albeit recent, that potential problem area fades ...

Codes, Ciphers & Murder - Oh My!
David Baldacci is synonymous with mystery, intrigue and suspense. With a distinct flair for weaving a bit of truth into his fictional creations, Baldacci captures the reader's imagination, while presenting a believable story. Add the talented actor/author Ron McClarty narrating, and Simple Genius is a knock-out, one-two punch. He uses all the narrative tools-and the result is an audio experience ...

B aldacci Continues to Amaze
I have been a fan of Baldacci since I read the first book. He keeps the plot moving. I have found a new author who I enjoy as much although their styles are very different. Andie Peterson, author of Northern Explosion, keeps the plot moving with believable characters and setting. I gave her a five star rating, too. I recommend these authors wholeheartedly.

An awesome departure from normal for Baldacci.
David Baldacci is usually well known for his political thrillers, but "Wish You Well" is an incredible book, even though it's a totally different genre. It's a wonderful coming-of-age story for the two main characters, Lou and Oz Cardinal, who are sent to live on an Appalachian farm with their great-grandmother. The characters in the story are beautifully written and have great depth to them. ...
