An incredible deal!!
i gave this five stars because of the excellent binding. this omnibus can actually be read like the thirty plus comic books they are without missing vital art and dialogue in the crease, i hope all future omnibus from Marvel are bound just like this and the obvious reason this gets 5 stars: the art of Alex Maleev is mind blowingly cool

Gripping
An amazing book. I don't do a lot of reading except for a few Star Trek Novels, and this one I couldn't put down. I finished the 400 page+ book in just a weekend. Can't wait for the rest of the trilogy to come out.
Star Trek: Destiny: Lost Souls (Star Trek)

Star Trek

The soldiers of Armageddon are on the march, laying waste to worlds in their passage. An audacious plan could stop them forever, but it carries risks that one starship captain is unwilling to take. For Captain Jean-Luc Picard, defending the future has never been so important, or so personal -- and the wrong choice will cost him everything for which he has struggled and suffered. For Captain William Riker, that choice has already been made. ...

Continued Good Reading.
I can't say much in this review of Book 2 of the Starfleet Corps of Engineers that I didn't already say in my review of Book 1. That is, it's great! Well-written, believable, and very entertaining, with nods to continuity throughout. If you're not reading these, or the DS9 re-launch, then you're missing out on some great stuff. An added bonus in the back of this publication is the S.C.E. ...

Best one for athletes!
I have read several books on the mental game in sports and this is by far the best. I work with collegiate and professional athletes and recommend this so often that Gary Mack should send me a commission!!!

Star Trek: The Starfleet Survival Guide
Star Trek: The Starfleet Survival Guide written by David Mack is a unique little tome in that it is written in computer manual style... starting with 1.0 and ending at 4.15.But more importantly, this book makes you alert to the countless dangers that arise in space and how to cope. This book has uses for standard-issue equipment that are nonstandard, for exanple remodulating a universal ...

About Time
After the almost child-like and flat writting in Greater than the Sum I was about ready to give up on TNG works. While not nearly as stupid as the Voyager relaunched it certainly found itself leaning to that simple third grade writing style rather than the rich, compelling and complicated beauty that is the DS9 works, in particular the fabulous Terok Nor trilogy. However, the first two books, ...

The rising sun of art
Circle of Blood is a transcendent work of art and David Mack is one the the great artists of our deranged and crazy times. This work is a revenge tragedy with all of the Jacobean resonances but it creeps up on you like a spider and bites you with the most soft and subtle poisons. There is a Shakespearean quality to the Circle of Blood - the feeling that we are reading about great events that ...
New Avengers, Vol. 8: Secret Invasion, Book 1
Brian Michael Bendis
Marvel Comics
, 2008
The Avengers are trapped in the Savage Land, battling friend and foe. And Spider-Man heads to the one person in the entire place he knows he can trust: Ka-Zar! But is it really him? This important chapter rewinds the events of the very first New Avengers story and shows how it connects to the Invasion. Plus: the break-up of Jessica Jones and Luke Cage; a major development in the life of Echo; and the story of how the Skrull empire was able to ...

intriguing but confusing
I throughly enjoyed following the suspenseful story of Taran'atar. It was a great follow up to the last book of the series but left out anything about Odo and the ramifications of what happened with the great link. There was excellent character development, Sisko makes an appearance in this story but doesn't play a strong role. There are so many questions waiting to be answered after this. ...

I hope this series continues
An excellent continuation of the Star Trek Vanguard series. The plots, the characters and the stories are very compelling. I have to say that this is science fiction at its best while at the same time the interpersonal dialouge is first rate. The characters deal with real emotional issues which we can all relate to. The story has so many interesting ramifications for future novels.

STSCE
Star Trek Corps of Engineers: Creative Couplings is the lastest in the SCE Series and is as good or slightly better than the previous book. All of the SCE books are great and I hope that more will be coming soon.

Disappointing
Grand Designs is the least of a very good bunch. The others in the series take a problem and have an ingenious engineering solution. These stories are rather pedestrian and none would be included in the previous volumes. Avoid this one.

Bendis's First Run on Daredevil is Magnificent..
I will not deny that Bendis is my favorite writer putting material out these days for Marvel. Loeb,Pak, and Strazynski would have to be runners up. And these guys are Bendis's dust as runners up. This collection in Wake Up is Daredevil 16-19, which is out of print by the way. It's Bendis's first run on the series, and with the outstanding art by Mack, it is a brilliant start. It is a sad ...

Great!
This book integrated wonderfully with the origional shows except for the last "book" which was new but great material. Mirror universe gives this series new life and lots of opportunities for diversity. A wonderful read and I couldn't put it down. Looking forward to more "Mirror Universe" ST books.

Wonderful hardback.
Most of the reviews listed for this title aren't accurate at all, since they're for a completely different edition, so I thought I'd chime in. This hardback is part of Marvel's new oversized line. And as I've come to expect, it's of fantastic quality. From the glossy attractive cover to the vibrant coloring of the pages, Daredevil Vol. 1 screams for a spot on anyone's bookshelf or coffee table. ...

This was fun...!
This is a fun collection of the full run of Brian Michael Bendis' version of the Spidey spin-off book, "Marvel Team Up." Like its 1970s predecessor, this version of MTU often keeps things on the lighter side, with Spidey teaming up with various Marvel heros, often with anticlimactic or mildly embarrassing results. If you enjoy Bendis' work on "Ultimate Spider-Man," then you really should pick ...

Truth at Last
Todays high school and college textbooks address the concept of marriage as if this most precious and natural of all relationships between a man and a woman is now a relic, a trap, an alternative lifestyle, or something to be avoided in a post-modern world centered on self-fulfillment and utter individual independence since our "modern" philosophy must be "if it feels good, just do it".
