Love the Work Stations
I am a first year teacher learning the ropes. I am finding the work stations very easy to implement and am enjoying the "freedom" to achieve reading level testing at week three of the school year and am looking forward to guided reading group time soon.

A good resource!
This book is a great resource to help design an effective layout for a classroom. It takes all of the elements of the classroom into account: whole group, word study, readers' workshop areas and more! I also liked the spiral binding because it provided easy access to the desired page. I would recommend it for any elementary ed teacher.

Practice with PURPOSE
This is just what I've needed. Excellent source for getting kids motivated and on tasks that help THEM to learn. Outlines possible problems and solutions ahead of time. Great ideas for taking centers I already want and making them real learning stations in the classroom. Other teachers on my floor are already looking to "borrow" it.

Excellent Resource for K-2 Reading Teachers
Debbie Diller has written another fantastic resource for reading teachers. This book is full of helpful ideas for teaching each of the five areas of reading and give tips on organizing. Well worth the money--one of the best resources I have seen in 27 years of teaching.
