This is a WORKBOOK!
While the text in the book is helpful and knowledgable, this is a STUDENT WORKBOOK! My boss bought this for me to help me with my DANB test. Low and behold, as soon as it arrived we realized that this was a workbook and not a textbook. We reviewed the book description and nowhere did it clarify this.

Essential books, non-essential instruments book!
The Essentials books are great, I have made good use of them. However, I expected to be receiving actual dental instruments, not just another book. And I have not yet found the instruments book to be helpful whatsoever. The descriptions are vague and again just not all that helpful.
