Excellent quick review
Excellent charts with pathological and clinical correlation of the lab findings. Exemplar examples of types of illnesses/pathologic processes expected with each lab test.

forget the review courses - do this series
Don't waste your time sitting in class for another month getting ready for Step 1. Get these books, knuckle down and do ALL of them (it will take well disciplined 7-8 hours of study 6 days per week) and you will do great. That's what I did, I'm no genius, and I still scored in the 96th percentile.

Pathology Recall
when i first got this book, i was dissapointed... its all in table form. 'what is the most common cause of sideroblastic anemia' etc. over the course of my second year, i referred to this book as a reference more and more. eventually i came to depend on it like i do toilet paper ( i dont want to know what i'd do without it). it is one of the most usefull books i own. this book explains ...

FANTASTIC BOOK
I did fabulous on Step I- yet I was a mediocre student in the first two years. Here's why. During the first two years, I tried to read a lot of textbooks and not those silly notes handed out by the instructors... because they were poorly presented and often contained weak, 1:1 relationships. Reading textbooks really exposed me to a lot of highly varied material, and consequently, I was ...

Goljan Path
This is the single most useful and board relevant book on the market. I had the pleasure of using this text in accompaniment with Dr. Goljan's audio lectures from a review course. The two resources, audio and text, proved to be invaluable in both building my confidence and ability to disect the USMLE Step I exam. Additionally, the images used in the text and referenced in the audio lectures ...

SUPERB REVIEW!
I am so grateful to have near Goljan's Path Review. Although it has an outline format it is a lot more complete than others.....concise, to the point. As a reader you almost feel as if someone is by your side taking your hand and explaining WHY certain things happen the way they do.

Study Aid for Step 2.
Still great material for Step 2. Make sure you go thru all explanations. Explanations are also good as a study text since they are written by Dr. Goljan and all those other guys teaching for Kaplan.

Rapid Review Series: the in-thing
I have heard so much about the RR series, and I decided to give it a try, and boy, was I impressed? Talk about how splendiferous this RR Biochemistry is. Also, I have heard so much about Goljan, Goljan, Goljan. So within 5 days or so of laying my hands on the RR Biochem, I ordered for the Pathology brother written by Goljan. They say the man sure knows how to tie Path, Biochem, etc together. I ...

For the motivated student
The 5 books in this series were incredibly helpful for blowing away the USMLE. If you want to barely pass, get First Aid and hope that is enough (it's not). The questions in these books were very difficult, but after suffering through them then reading the explanations I felt very prepared for the USMLE.
