Excellent book about a devoted Christian missionary who smuggled Bibles across the Iron Curtain. It was very good and hard to put down.

This is an heirhoom edition which includes the text of Brother Andrew's world-wide best seller, God's Smuggler, plus snatches of other stories of the Persecuted Church. Also a CD of Jars of Clay. Highly recommended.

Just as good the third time around
I don't re-read many books, but I come back to this one. It is uplifting and humbling at the same time. Clearly, the Christian message is central, but Corrie's quiet heroism is inspirational for anyone who cares, and a darn good story too.

Biblical Suspense
Exciting TRUE story of a Dutch ironsmith's son who becomes a Bible smuggler to countries behind the Iron Curtain post-WW II. Very well-written. Appropriate for all ages as a read-aloud or age 10 and above for reading alone.

Revealing
This book came to me through the mail. I was expecting it but not what was in it. I started reading it and I couldn't put it down. I know God speaks to us through different avenues and this was just one of His ways of getting a message to me. If anyone has the opportunity to read this book, please do it. You will not regret it. Even though it is out of print there our plenty of copies out ...

INCREDIBLY MOVING SAGA OF HEROIC DUTCH FAMILY DURING WW I I
This is an absolutely extraordinary book. Never have I read a book in which the spiritual beauty of the author so resonated throughout the story. The purity of heart that manifests itself in this inspiring saga of a heroic, Dutch family in Nazi occupied Holland during World War II is stunningly beautiful. This is the true story of the Ten Boom family who, during the Nazi occupation of The ...

If you're a fan of the Sherrills, Guideposts, Catherine Marshall...
...or any other from this era of writing, you will especially enjoy this book. While it is lovely and worthwhile reading on its own, stories about these Christian writers made it a double blessing for me - highly recommended!!

God's Providential care
A friend gave this book to my mom after my dad died. What an inspirational collection of short but true stories about God's providential care for us! Over & over the different author's (e.g., Corrie Ten Boom, Franklin Graham, Bruce Olson, John and Elizabeth Sherrill, Ernest Borgnine & others) relate their experiences of how God supplied their needs, offered protection, and directed their paths. ...

The Cross and the Switchblade
I read this book as a teen. When my son needed something to read for school, I offered him the book, "Run Baby Run", a book about gangs and one person in particular who struggled to leave that lifestyle behind. He very much enjoyed it, so I bought this book as an adjunct. "The Cross and the Switchblade addresses the same issues of life on the streets, and those whose hearts have hardened as a ...

Extremely Inspiring and Awesome Book
hHaving recently become a foster parent thru the Bair Foundation here in Pennsylvania I found this book to be truly one of the most encouraging and inspiring books I have ever read. I feel so privileged to be a part of the ministry that this man and his wife started many years ago and also now to be a part that helps his vision and dream to carry on. I would say that anyone out there who is a ...

An awesome book!
One of the best books written about a families part in helping save Jews in the holocaust. Truly inspirational! It would be wise to read this book, not only to see in action, God's grace, but in the world we live in to remember that it can happen again.

This is a truly inspiring book. This time, though, I purchased this as a gift for my nephew. I hope it will help him get through some challenges he is facing.

God still wants to work in lives of ordinary people.
The Demos Shakarian story is about God's presence in our lives, and the miracles He will perform when we let Him, when we're willing to get out of the way to let Him take over. Mr. Shakarian's story is about a loving God and a loving son, whose heart wants to be in his Father's perfect will, but being human, forgets, and gets in the way. And God waits until he figures that out, steps back, and ...

Spiritual
This is an incredible experience the author shares. It is a story of life, death, life hereafter and the love of Jesus. It is written by a very astute, professional man who speaks from his heart. I would encourage anyone wishing to explore spirituality to read this book. It is wonderful that the author would share this experience with us. Thankyou George!
