I've only been through one chapter, but so far I am pleased with this book. It gives tons of examples throughout each chapter since tax accounting involves many unique situations to which you apply a set of laws (albeit constantly evolving laws). One of the best textbooks i've ever read!
The author of this book really had the student reader in mind. He includes every aspect of business and financing in the text. He is broad but simple at the same time. I would recommend this book to anyone that is beginning to get into the business world of learning!

This book is required for most college-level courses in individual income taxes, but it is the sloppiest, most poorly written textbook I've ever used. Where are the copy editors? The publisher could save at least 100 pages just by tightening up the verbose writing style. The book was in very good shape and was sent out in a very timly manner. However, if you are a student who is planning to get this book for your class I might not suggest doing so. This book is the professional edition which does not come with the access code for the RIA website for tax research. Which you might need for class assignments and projects.
