Fun and Informative, Like Loco for Lizards
Great little book--reminds me of Jim Cherry's Loco for Lizards, another "laugh out loud funny" book that seriously informs while keeping the reader amused. I highly recommend them both.

Fantastic Frogs!
This book is a great way to introduce frogs to young children. The rhyming text keeps children's interest and still manages to give accurate information about the life cycle and behavior of frogs. The illustrations of 33 different kinds of frogs are colorful, appealing, and realistic. As a Hello Reader! book, it is accurately leveled for Kindergarten - Second Grade. A great introduction to a ...

The final chapter of a fulfilled dream
Fay Robinson, my mother, passed away on Dec. 2, 2002. Christmas on Snowbird Mountain was her fifth book published. My mother, in one form or another, has been an amazing writer her whole life. She was a journalism major in college and went on to write for several newspapers when one day my late grandmother asked her "If you could do anything, what would it be?" My mother responded that "I want to ...

A review from Shannon!
I saw SUE in Chicago last week. In this book I learned that SUE was named after Susan who found the fossils. Susan had a dog named Gypsy. They kept on digging up duck-billed dinosaurs. Sue's boned weighed 4 tons!! The Field Museum bought it for over eight million dollars! SUE is a T.rex. I think that SUE did fight with other dinosaurs. SUE is 67 million years old! I was happy to see SUE ...

Fantastic!!!
My 5 yr. old son and I just loved this book. The art work is so beautiful and the story is wonderful. My son was afraid of thunder until we read this now he believes it's only the dragons leaving. I intend on purchasing this book for every family I know with small children!

High Scores for Mrs. Wright
Fay Robinson has done it again in creating dynamic characters and a fast-paced read. Private investigator Whit Lewis travels to St. Augustine, FL to discover if Susan Wright is really Emma Webster. Falling for the beautiful restaurant owner is not part of his plan. Susan has things to hide, and Whit, who masquerades as a tourist, hasn't been entirely honest with her, either. Gaining each other's ...

Stupendous-original -unforgettable
Ever since Kathryn Morgan was nineteen, she idolized singer-songwriter James Hayes. Now that Kathryn has won a Pulitzer, she feels adequate to write the definitive piece on her superstar who died in a plane crash. Great Bedtime story!
My 3 year old son loves this story. He enjoys the repetitive story and is bemused by the grandmother who runs around trying to help her grandson get to sleep. This is not a scary story and in fact, helps me get my son to sleep. It is also very funny, especially when all of the animals are in the bed with Nathaniel and the bed breaks. It is a fairy tale which is why it is so fun. Enjoy the ...

Solid, Liquid, or Gas/
This photo essay defines matter, solids, liquids and gases and gives several examples of each. This book is very accurate and is yet easily understandable for even young children. The photos are crisp, colorful, and add realism and vitality to the text. A subject index is included in the back of the book. Best suited for children ages 5-8. Excellent! (Reviewed by a K-12 Science teacher) ...
GREAT SNAKES!

Daughter (5) can't get enough of this book
She routinely requests that I bring it home from work (I work in a public library). I am actually thinking of purchasing her a copy of her own. It is a basic book about snakes. Gives a few facts and an illustration about each one. Simple language makes it easy for her to read on her own. Though to be honest, I think she has the whole book memorized by now.

Women Fly Planes!
This is a fine book for showing numerous images of commercial pilots as they go about their work while on duty. But by far the best part is the positive image it gives to female pilots as role models for young girls. I am buying more copies to give as gifts to young girls I know, to inspire them and to fill their open minds with beautiful and challenging possibilities.

The great mystery that is plumbing
A charming story, and great illustrations. (I especially liked the plumbing cross-section near the end, it appeals to the engineer in me :)) I remember wondering the same thing many years ago as I stood on tiptoes and stared up at the faucet opening: just where does this thing lead? Wonderful, for ALL us kids

Aucassin and Nicolette
Reading Aucassin and Nicolette was amusing and enjoyable. The love story of Aucassin and Nicolette is entwined with battles, journeys, and rebellion. It is a light-hearted parody that inlcudes mocking the church, fighting wars with fruit and cheese, and a king in childbed. The issues of medieval times are demonstrated when Aucassin and Nicolette's love is challenged by social order, land, and ...

Great for kids who like real stuff
I was surprised at how well my son (3 yoa) responded to this story about vegetables. It is a paper book and quite small, but it works well and introduces the names of lots of vegetables, the idea of a garden, and making a salad. It has a vocabulary review at the end which is useful.

We used it - but not the best
I made the migajón miniaturas with my kids, and they enjoyed it. Otherwise the crafts are all repeated in other books I have, or too advanced for my preschool aged children. I recommend HANDS-ON LATIN AMERICA by Yvonne Y. Merrill.
