Practice based book - Thumb up, Excellent
Dr. Kerzner made an excellent synthesis of project management from a practical point of view. Pure experience sorted and regrouped alongside topics of excellence. The book is rich of diagrammes, graphics, screen copies and all sort of illustrations which helped thousands of project actors to grasp and retain the notions. I appreciated the European touch as well. If you manage ...

Rooted in sound practicality
Harold Kerzner combines his solid project management background and indepth industry consulting knowledge with Peter Rea's insight, values, and command of strategic planning. The book is a bit pricey, but has proven invaluable! If you can't get it from the library, it's worth the cost, you might even want to buy it for your personal library.

This Book Improves with Age and Time
My first thought as I laid this book down from my first reading was, "How can I get my money back?" However, the longer it lay on the shelf, I found myself, uncharacteristically, drawn back into its pages. Most of the case studies were drawn from the author's consulting practice and generally focus on at least one or two specific points. Other than on-the-job training, the author states that ...
Kerzner's Project Management Logic Puzzles

A timewaster
Don't be tempted by the low price or influenced by the fame of the author. Quite honestly, it did not take long to notice that the puzzles were worthless for serious project managers. But I kept going to be proven wrong. Regretably, I should have invested my scarse time elewhere. I teach in graduate school and can attest to the fact that you won't learn much about project management.

Caution when ordering this workbook!
I had purchased this workbook intending to use it to help study for the PMP Exam. Although the workbook does contain over 300 pages of sample questions that might be helpful in studying for the exam, it does NOT include answers to any of the questions. Therefore, there is no way to verify that you've answered the questions correctly, which made the workbook of very little value to me. I ...

Its about time...
I have spent the last three years building Project/Program Management Office (PMO) infrastructures, processes, systems and project manager training programs. The reason I love this book is that it explains the vital need of strategic planning for successful project management. Most of the project managers I have worked with have little, if any strategic planning training. We have had a ...
