Good One
It's a good book, it isn't very [costly], it gives you a bunch of new monsters (but, the most is only a variation of a principal type, and the description isn't very clear). It has 10 PAGES OF RANDOM ITEM MAGIC GENERATION and can create more than a million magic items (i'm for real!). And it has some good alternative core D&D classes (Holy Dark Spider! The Amazon rules!). Besides that, you will ...

Monsters, few Aliens
In all, Xenoforms, is a good book for those running a Dark Matter campaign. It holds a wide assortment of paranormal monsters with detailed descriptions and even suggested plot hooks. Primarily I would say it holds "monsters" including demons, werewolves, frogmen and the like, but it also has some excellent sections on extradimensional and extraphysical xenoforms that can add a lot into a very ...

Necessary Jedi resource
To be frank, the Jedi classes offered in the Core Rulebook just aren't that cool. You can be a Guardian (typical butt-kicking Jedi saber-warrior) or a Consular (Princess Leia-ish diplomat type that shuns violence). The two prestige classes (aside from master, which of course is always cool) are interesting, but not that great. Additionally, there's little guidance on how to handle Force Spirits, ...

Great Series
I'm a big fan of the Frostburn, Sandstorm, and Stormwrack series. If you're not planning to DM, the books provide interesting alternatives for your characters. If you DM and plan to do your writing for the campaign, these books are an excellent way to add flavor to your campaign. My favorite aspect to this book (and all of the environment books) is, not surprisingly, the guidance it gives in ...

Allies and Adversaries
I bought this more on a whim but it has restarted my interest in d20 Modern. The book has three main sections which bear mentioning. First up is the critter book. No matter what kind of game you play critters are absolutely essential. There's something for virtually everyone in the first section. Alternity fans rejoice! You will old friends and foes in here as the Fraal return and are expanded ...

D20 Modern Core Book
The design layout is sharp, yet the functionality is unhindered. There are so many treasure troves in this supplement, and so much info, you could play for weeks straight and not get to use all of it.

The Star Wars Player's Best Friend
In a very basic sense, the Hero's Guide is like an advanced expansion of the Revised Core Rulebook, but it's much more than that. The main purpose of this book is to provide tools for the player- and it definitely delivers. Gamers looking for long sections of background and history are advised to go elsewhere, but considering all that it offers, I'd consider this book a must-have for any ...

LOOK AT ALL OF THE WONDERFUL TOYS!
As the name implies d20 Future Tech is a new supplement for the d20 Modern RPG and the d20 Future Supplement. This book has all the goodies that sci-fi and high tech players will love...the gadgets, weapons, mecha, robots, and ships that you're just dying to get your hands on to outfit your characters. The book is broken down into six chapters dedicated to Personal Gear, Starships, Systems, ...

Three Times a Charm: Finally, a good supplement!
I must admit that I was justifiably skeptical that the `Secrets of Tatooine' source book would be any better than the previous two offerings from Wizards of the Coast. The first, `Secrets of Naboo' was well-written, but held no real secrets, nor enough detail to make it of any real use. `Living Force' was a limp, flaccid retread of a great many things we had seen before-pod races, cloud city gas ...

NEW MISSIONS! NEW MAPS!
These Ultimate Mission books are brilliant. The maps are, as in past Ultimate Mission offerings, reason enough to get the book. But the wide range of missions is very welcome. Of course there are missions based on Episode III, but missions of highlight would be the addition of missions based on the events seen in the Clone Wars animated series from Cartoon Network. There are a few missions that ...

Is it EVIL?
To clear up the confusion of one of the previous reviewers, it should be mentioned that the Dark Side Sourcebook was published *before* the Revised Core Rulebook, and thus uses the older, obsolete ruleset. Fortunately, there is an update file to be found at the Star Wars section of the Wizards of the Coast website that addresses these changes, and brings it in line with the new rules. That being ...

Information that should have been in the core rules books
I almost wanted to give this product 3 stars, because the production value is very good, but the content is too lacking in material. Psionics are such a basic staple of science fiction, and this book treats it in an adequate, if uninspired manner. Apparantly the purpose of this book was to provide generic information to be used in any kind of campaign, but it comes across so generic that it ...
Artifacts Of The Ages: Rings

Gary Astleford
Green Ronin Publishing
, 2004
The greatest tales of epic fantasy sometimes begin with a humble little bauble: a gem with mysterious powers, an amulet with a terrible curse ... or a ring that renders the wearer invisible. As the story goes on, though, these amazing items gradually reveal the full extent of their powers--and, often, the true nature of their destinies. Continuing the rules developed in Artifacts of the Ages: Swords and Staves, this book presents magic gems and ...

A must-have for any NJO campaign.
If you are planning on running a SWRPG campaign set in the New Jedi Order era, this sourcebook is the one accessory you must have. Chapter One starts off with a broad overview of the galactic situation just prior to the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, and then goes right into a detailed description of the YV and their culture, along with a new-and-improved list of YV equipment. Chapters Two through Seven ...
