Ready...Set... Read! The Begining Reader's Treasury
I love this book! Both my kids (now 15 and 11) loved this book, so much so that we can't pass it on to my niece because it has such sentimental value. I guess I'm now saving it for grand kids (scary thought). Anyway, it truly is perfect for emerging readers with varying reading levels and most importantly varying subject matters. I'm ordering one now for my niece and I know she will treasure her ...

great book!
My 5yr old son is a huge fan of Magic School Bus series. Especially, Solat system and human body are his favorite among them. He memorizes the order of all the plantes in the Solar system. Draw pictures about it and make planets with playdough. Great book!

Good book for kids
I am a retired teacher and I buy books to send to my grandson. Ths book is high interest and easy to read but offers enough of a challenge to make it good for him.

Excellent Source for any science teacher
I am a high school biology teacher. Since reading this book I have purchased 5 of the Magic School Bus Chapter Books. This book provides excellent scientific information and students of all ages enjoy. I had my 6 year old nephew read it, I read it, and one of my freshmen biology students read it. We all came to the same conclusion; we want to take a trip the aquarium and see the sharks ...

packed with information
Ms. Frizzle is taking her class on a memorable field trip through the human body in this entertaining book featuring the beloved eccentric teacher and her curious class. My only complaint is that the pages are so busy with information that it's impossible to sit and really read the whole book, but perhaps it's best to let a child's curiosity guide you through a number of readings rather than ...

My 3 year old loves it
When we first received the book, my husband said - this is way too advanced for our son - too much text. But maybe because he finds dinosaurs fascinating, he's been engrossed by it. All these new facts about dinosaurs have him very interested. He doesn't get some of it, but he's grow into it I am sure!

Book
My kids love anything from the Magic School Bus collection and this one is especially fun. Very colorful and detailed and a good choice for young readers. This is a good book for early readers and would be about a level 2.

The Grand Finale
In 1986, author Joanna Cole and illustrator Bruce Degen published their first book together. It was a story about a funky-cool teacher with frizzy-red hair, who led her class on the most extraordinary, in-depth, and out-of-this-world field trips like no instructor before her. The adventures of Ms. Frizzle and her students quickly became a hit with real-life children, parents and teachers alike. ...

Rocks, Rocks, Everywhere!
"The Magic School Bus: Inside the Earth" immediately picks up where its predecessor, "At the Waterworks", left off. At the end of each book, Joanna Cole and Bruce Degen provide a subtle clue as to the nature and content of their next collaboration - a sly wink to those of us who catch such details. "At the Waterworks" concludes with Ms. Frizzle looking at a map of a volcano, which tells us the ...

The Best Thing About This Book? It WORKS!!!
I was one of those Moms who felt as though her child would never be potty trained! My 3-and-a-half year-old son just did not seem inclined to do it. We offered gifts and party incentives...nothing doing! He did like to pee in the "big potty" from time to time but that was about it. I even bought him a potty of his own. Every day I said, "Hey...let's try to poop on the potty today" and every ...

SCHOOLYARD FUN
ANYONE who EVER jumped rope at recess will love this book! It has ALL the oldies we grew up with, plus new chants for the upcoming generation. These types of books are hard to come by, but are a treasure to have on hand when we do.

Great, Positive Book to Prepare a Toddler for a Baby
We received this book as a gift, and it is the best "baby on the way" book we have read. My daughter (almost 3) loves it, asks for it all the time, and has pretty much memorized it now. My friend's little girl who is the same age, and also expecting a little brother, loves it too. It's nice how it emphasizes how the big sister can help, and how she is still special to mommy and daddy. ...

Great Book
I got this book because I thought it might help my daughter with potty training to hear stories about others like her. She really relates to Ashley and likes to hear her story over and over. All in all a very sweet book about a little girl learning to use the potty. I would recommend this book.

wonderful book, for kids of all ages
I bought this book for my son, to prepare for the arrival of his baby sister. He was only 16m when I started reading it to him, and almost 2 when his sister ws born. He LOVED this book. he requested it nightly (making my life easier cause I would have read it anyway =)) He was so excited to be the BIG brother by the time his sister arrived, and I really believe this book helped with that. It ...

Entertaining but Outlandish
My four-year-old liked this story, and I will consider buying others, but she did not 'love' it. The kids-turning-into-penguin plot, which involves kids turning temporarily into penguins, did not sit well with me. In addition, there were too many characters to remember or care about. The writing style was not entertaining and seemed choppy to me. My daughter and I prefer the Geronimo ...

I ENJOY THIS ONE BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY THE KIDS DO TOO
This is not a bad beginning reader and it is full of very fascintating information about sharks and shark life. The illustrations are quite good and of course hold the children's interest from cover to cover. The text is simple and quite easy to follow and understand. I can see why there might be some concerns over portions of the book. Yes, the book dose address the fact that sharks, for the ...

Aw, heck. What's not to like?
For those familiar with the "Magic Schoolbus" series, Mrs. Frizzle's adventures with her class all have a similar plotline. Mrs. Frizzle explains some scientific topic, whether it's the solar system, the dinosaurs, etc. and then lures her children onto her special schoolbus for an adventure. During the adventure the only child that is regularly singled out as the perpetual schlamatzel is ...
