Return to Labyrinth Volume 2 (Return to Labyrinth)12 reviews
Jake T. Forbes

TokyoPop, 2007

Cant wait!
The plot thickens in volume two. As more questions are being answered, new ones keep popping up. The artwork is beautiful. The end of the book leaves you with a huge cliffhanger. I've been a labyrinth fan since i was a child and i have been a manga fan since junior high. Combining my fav movie of all time with the manga style was the best idea ever! I hope they keep em coming. If you are a ...

Saiyuki Vol. 311 reviews
Kazuya Minekura, Minekura Kazuya

TokyoPop, 2004

Saiyuki is one good manga!
I was introduced to this manga by one of my friends who knew what appealed to me and said I would love Saiyuki. She didn't tell me anything about it, didn't say how I would soon fall in love. This is a story loosely (very, very loosely) based on the Chinese tale The Journey to the West, and in Japanese, this tale is called Saiyuki. In Shangri-La, demons and humans have been living peacefully. One ...

Duklyon: Clamp School Defenders, Vol. 21 review
Clamp

TokyoPop, 2003

Truth, Justice, and... Alien Romance?
This book is really cute, not as heavy as some of Clamp's other work. I don't want to give away the plot, but if you liked the first one this is even better. It's a really short series and really silly, but the artwork is, as ever, great and the storyline if tongue in cheek is at least interesting.

Pandora's Box
Volume 2 of Koichi Tokita's "Gundam: The Last Outpost" continues to follow MS pilot Odin Bernett as he uses his powerful G-Unit mobile suit to protect the MO-V asteroid colony. And this time around, Odin's in for the fight of his life. If the attacks by the OZ Prize unit aren't enough, Dr. Berg, MO-V's chief engineer, switches sides; the G-Unit belonging to Odel, Odin's older brother, is ...

Sailor Moon Vol. 825 reviews
Naoko Takeuchi, Jake Forbes, ...

TokyoPop, 2001

Pluto reappears!!!
They have a few lebien moments, so you might not like it. But that doesn't really matter to me because I love Sailor Moon no matter what. In the first chapter: The Inner scouts see two new scouts. Sailor Moon destroyed Eugiel. In the second chapter: The scouts go to a concert where the Enemy invades. In the third chapter: Death Busters attack Amy In the fourth chapter: Sailor Pluto appears[ as ...

Spy Kids 2 Cine-Manga: The Island of Lost Dreams (Spy Kids 2)1 review
Robert Rodriguez

TokyoPop, 2003

Spy Kids Island of Lost Dreams
The protagonist is Carmon and Junie. The conflict is someone postioned the spies. It is about this family who saves the world and the rest of the spies. The best part is the action in the story where they get to be on the case.

Legal Drug, Vol. 120 reviews
Clamp

TokyoPop, 2004

Not a Kid's Review
Okay, if you promise not to tell, I'm actually fourteen, it's just easier to use this feature. First issue: rating. The Legal Drug series is rated OT for Older Teen or 16+. But it shouldn't be, the only reason that it is, is because of a) a general shounen-ai feel to the whole thing and b) because it does grow progressively worse, but in my opinion, probably shouldn't exceed the T rating. ...

The Way of the Jedi #1 (Star Wars: The Clone Wars)1 review
Jake T. Forbes

Grosset & Dunlap, 2008

You're the Padawan - and you decide where the story goes!
This is fun. The story is addressed to you, an initiate in the ways of The Force. At the end of most "chapters" (some as short as a page) you get to decide what turn the story will take, and you then turn to the appropriate page. For my 8 year-old this made the book completely come alive. FYI - this is an original Clone Wars story line, not one from the movie or the new TV series. With ...

The Last Outpost, Book 3 (Mobile Suit Gundam G-Unit)1 review
Koichi Tokita, Yoshiyuki Tomino, ...

TokyoPop, 2003

Trojan Horse
Created by Koichi Tokita and translated by TOKYOPOP, it's the third and final installment of "The Last Outpost," the manga side-story to the "Gundam Wing" anime. In the last volume, the embattled MO-V space colony is still under attack by OZ Prize forces for possession of the G-Unit mobile suits. When the Bernett brothers recover 3 Gundams, they offer MO-V a glimmer of hope for victory and ...

Priest Vol. 115 reviews
Min-Woo Hyung, Robert Coyner, ...

TokyoPop, 2002

far from typical
i don't what that scott munro dude is talking about, but this series is far from typical. i hate manga, but this series delves so deep into the human soul and psyche that i can't put it down. clearly the guy below hasn't even read much of the series or he would know that there is a ton of character development throughout the series. in each volume you learn more about the history of the ...

The Art of Magic Knight Rayearth, Book 16 reviews
Clamp, Jake Forbes

TokyoPop, 2002

Wonderfully done, a must-have for ANY MKR fan!
I love this artbook. The colors are bright, the pictures are huge and the 'Making of the Rayearth manga' bit at the end was really interesting, which answered my "how did they DO that?" question quite well. Color manga pictures are somewhat rare, but both CLAMP and Tokyopop once again outdo themselves in this artbook. I hear the second one is just as good--and I can't WAIT to get my hands on it. ...
