Much more than a study-book...
As a student at Antwerp University (UFSIA) Belgium we had to buy (and learn!!) this book. Buying it was the easy part. I have to tell you that you don't read this book overnight (I tried it :-)) But after all I liked the information I got from it, especially the real-life case studies. Which make this book more than a theoretical study-book. It was only a pitty that our professor skipped the ...

Information Systems A probrem-solving approach
This book mentions about the relationship between IS strategy and Business strategy. Many books focus on one topic and technical, however, this book explains how should the company balance the two strategies.

Words, words and again words...
As an IT professional (on the technical side) I was expecting something more from the "management" people who wrote this book. After a degree in Computer Science and four years of experience on the field I turned to this book to get a view of the tools and techniques for managing IT in business, and I must say my curiosity was not satisfied. What's missing in my opinion is a solid theoretical ...

Very Good Book
The Book gives the best insight for Information systems and its application to the real world. I congratulate the authors for this. I am reading the B.Sc. in Business and Computing at the University of Malta and I have successfully done two assignments and two exams on informatuion systems. The Help I got from this book is great and it is like having the tutor at home.

Excellent!
I had to purchase this book for a college course and it was money well spent. The book provides a great introduction to software, hardware, the Internet, and business & communications technology. It also addresses the social and ethical issues surrounding information technology. The book provides several illustrations that made it an easy read.

Decent book
Decent book but I felt the information and topics were not that well organized. Some of the figures/charts/pictures were rather remedial and childish. I bought the book becuase it was required for an MIS class for my MBA program. I started the class not knowing much about IT/IS and finished the class learning very little more. I blame the class more for that then the book. Like I said, a ...

DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK!!!
If you need this book for a MIS course, borrow it from somewhere but DO NOT BUY! To begin with, the authors of this book do not know how to write about a subject in an interesting way. To top it all off, each chapter is very long with a lot of unneeded sentences. Also, the book over generalizes everything which is the absolute main flaw with the way it was written. The diagrams for each ...
