Where Serpents Lie32 reviews
T. Jefferson Parker

Random House Audio, 1998

Darker Parker......
I first discovered T. Jefferson Parker in Silent Joe, a carefully crafted and intriguing story with a twist. Joe, a sweet man with a damaged face, is one of Parker's great heroes. Naughton, in Where Serpents Lie, is another. He's a self-acknowledged flawed character who lives with regret and sorrow and deception while struggling to do his job as head of the Crimes Against Youth division of ...

Operation: Firebrand-Crusade (Operation: Firebrand Trilogy #2)10 reviews
Jefferson Scott

Barbour Publishing, Incorporated, 2003

Powerful and uplifting
Jefferson Scott does it again with the Firebrand team! Once again he provides an awesome wit, along with sometimes a strange sense of humor that I appreciate. And he once again shows how a member or two might show some weaknesses. You might also want to look for hints of Veggie Tales in this thriller. Eloise sends the team to Sudan, where the Firebrand team looks to free women and children who ...

Operation: Firebrand (Operation: Firebrand Trilogy #1)23 reviews
Jefferson Scott

Thorndike Press, 2003

Jefferson Scott is one of the great fiction writers by far.
I don't make the statement in the title of my review lightly. Jefferson Scott is really great. His new series, Operation Firebrand is everything I expected and more. When you read Jefferson Scott's books, the best way to describe his writing is: "it's like seeing a movie in your mind's eye" and those are my words (Glenda) in quotes. Even if you've never read a Christian novel before because you ...

Operation: Firebrand-Deliverance (Operation: Firebrand Trilogy #3)19 reviews
Jefferson Scott

Barbour Publishing, Incorporated, 2004

Why are these books going out of print?!
It's so sad when good fiction gets burried. This is an awesome book! Jeff has done a wonderful job of fleshing out his characters and drawing us into their world. It's almost hypnotic. The Korean culture is painted with stunning realism. I actually got chills while reading it. Christians need more daring authors like this. Thanks Jeff! Keep 'em comming!

Terminal Logic (Ethan Hamilton Technothrillers Trilogy #2)12 reviews
Jefferson Scott

Multnomah Books, 1997

A very good book
This Technological Thriller is perhaps one of the best books I have yet read. Its fast-paced action in the not too distant future of computers and over-the-internet murders and harassment, along with Jefferson Scott's wonderful story-telling make this a book that I could not put down. This is undoubtedly a wonderful book, by one of the greatest up and coming authors. My advice to you: buy it. If ...

Virtually Eliminated (Ethan Hamilton Technothrillers Trilogy #1)18 reviews
Jefferson Scott

Multnomah Books, 1996

Can You Beat Jefferson Scott? Nay I say!
The first time I saw this book, I thought, yeah another book about computers, it's all good. The minute though that I read the first page I was hooked. Jefferson Scott has done a great job of balancing Sci-Fi with a great Christian Theme. As a christian, I found this book really uplifitng and an insight into just how we are called to treat others. This book is just totally "there" and it just ...

Our Man in Mexico: Winston Scott and the Hidden History of the CIA5 reviews
Jefferson Morley

University Press of Kansas, 2008

Fixed Position of Camera Enables the Clear Causal Outline of a Flowchart!
A critical question makes the Kennedy Assassination perhaps more relevant to today than ever:to what extent is the nominal leader, the President, really in control of the permanent military, political, and communications bureacracies that shape his options? In 1961, when Kennedy became president, key components of this permannent bureacracy were thirteen years old. As a parent with a teenager ...

Be Intolerant: Because Some Things Are Just Stupid56 reviews
Ryan Dobson

Multnomah Books, 2003

Black and White Issues...
A good read for secular people, who think Christianity is closed minded. Author Ryan Dobson in plain everyday language makes a strong statement in favour of good old fashioned morality. I will be a bit more blunt when it comes to the "everything is permissable" attitude of liberals today; one can be so open minded that one's brains will fall out. Mr Dobson points out that the Bible says that ...

Say Goodbye To Stubborn Sin5 reviews
Clark, M.D. Gerhart, Jefferson Scott

Siloam Press, 2005

Finally, a concrete plan for defeating the power of sin!
While reading this book, I constantly found myself saying two thing: "So that is why I can't stop that sinful habbit" and "So that's how I can stop it". After reading many books on fighting sin, I was convinced that there was nothing more I could do than simply pray, read the Bible more, and strengthen my will power. But this book changed all that, beginning with a fascinating description of ...

Fatal Defect (Ethan Hamilton Technothrillers Trilogy #3)14 reviews
Jefferson Scott

Multnomah Books, 1998

An exciting read
A worthy continuation in the Ethan Hamilton Saga with one marked difference: more of an emphasis on genetics. Now the director of his own counter-cyberterrorism team, Ethan discovers something about a cutting-edge company in the genetic manipulation sector. GeneSys is creating an airborn version of botulism -- for a terrorist group...and they've disappeared from GlobeNet. The only hope of ...
