I used this book for a year-long course in chemistry as a nursing major. It is excellent for the clear and concise way topics are presented. It is also good because it provides numerous practical examples of how chemistry applies to allied health sciences. The section on biochemistry presents difficult topics in an easy fashion. The Best Reference for Organic Chemistry
This is by far the best text I have found. Although it is considered a text book, it is more handy as a reference tool. I have seen no other book that contains more information than March's. This book is actually worth the price.

6th March is an excellent buy
It is very difficult to rewrite reviews for 6th edition of the "March". Classical flagships among textbooks and reference books in organic chemistry, unbeatable. With 7000 new refernces it brings unbelievable 25k reference citations, very well organized on the bottom of the pages. Excellent indexes, very good cross view between 5th edition and 6th edition aligning chapters of different numbering, ...
