The Flight from Intimacy
In Breaking Free of the Co-dependency Trap, the authors looked to the true causes of co-dependency. They stated that 98% of the human population is co-dependent and that this reflected stilted emotional development caused by unmet needs in the first six months of life. Essentially, psychological development is halted at this point so that the individual can find what he or she needs to resolve ...

This is hands down the best book on codependency. Most codependency books I researched involved religion which is an oxymoron. This book however explained in clear unbiased ways the causes AND solutions to codependency. If you feel this is in your personality and is affecting your quality of life, I highly recommend this book for valuable insight and workable solutions!

another amazing anthology
plays and playwrights 2008 is martin denton's ninth anthology of the year's best offerings of new york indie theatre (what used to be called "off-off broadway"). as in the previous volumes, this yearˇ¦s plays are rich, bold, funny, scary, profane, profound. interestingly, many are about ghosts, which says something very intriguing indeed about the zeitgeist. to highlight a few of the 10 plays ...

This book can change your life, your family and your death
I first read this book when the subtitle was "What you don't know can hurt you." Bradshaw and others have finally done research to prove his thesis that generations repeat patterns, events, behaviors--not just personality types and genetic diseases. Reluctantly I had to agree because my observations, although unscientific, confirm what he explains. Understanding Bradshaw's book altered my ...

Best yet
The style of this book surpasses anything that Mr. Bradshaw has written. In other words, although his other books are nice, his writing style is not fluent. He must have had help perhaps, but this one flows fluently. The quality of the material is earth shattering. Very few books have I read from cover to cover within a week and this one I did. This is something I can go over and over.

A breakthrough
I cant beleive this book isnt bein published anymore. it was a ground breaker for me. I came from a seriously dysfunctional and abusive "family"(the f-word to me). Before i read this book, i had no idea there was a logic or order to the chaos of an abusive household, I guess i was very naive. This book is the one that started me on my path to recovery from my past.

Deep, Painful Tilling in the Rugged Soil of Our Pasts ...
Homecoming: Reclaiming and Championing Your Inner Child I cannot think of another published work that deals effectively with healing the wounded inner child, like this book. Methodical and delibrate, Bradshaw explores territory unknown to our present conscious, but quite familiar to our subconscious. The earliest of memories, whether peripheral, non-descript "gut" feelings or vivid, clear, ...

Probably One of the Most Important Books I'll Ever Read
I highly recommend this book anyone who has experienced - depression, guilt, grief, abandonment, abuse or addiction. Healing the Shame - points to the build up of - Undeserved Shame as Children - as the main reason for the emotional pain we're haunted by through out our lives - pain we are destined to relive if not faced. While Part One of this book expresses and pin points the Problem, Part Two ...

Perfection
I just received my Williams' Gynecology text 1st edition 2008 and must say that it's stunning in breadth, detail, illustrative creativity, and organization. The most important aspect is the constant attention the authors at Dallas Southwestern have paid to maintaining a contemporary evidence-based medicine approach throughout each chapter which is devoted to the field of gynecology. I'm not ...

The lame guy who gave it to me changed my life forever
I first read this book over ten years ago. Recently it has come up in my life again (I just sent this URL to a new "friend" :) ), and I just had to write a review to counter whatever the hell that "one star" is about. This book changed ME. I've been applying it's principles all these years - not just to romantic relationships, but to family, work, and everybody else. It not only freakin' ...

A must for relationship building
This is a great way to reinforce all the great information contained in the book. Each tape is somewhat connected to the other but are devided into various aspects of relationships(work, marriage, children, etc.)that can be examined seperately as well. I've only listened to the series 4 or 5 hundred times! Bradshaw has provided a wonderful base for exploring basic human desires and needs ...

Wow, what an insight!
This a book that I just couldn't put down until I read it completely through. Now I have such a better understanding of religious addiction, why some members of my family acted the way they did, and why they still attempt to convert me to their beliefs. This is a must read for anyone that is struggling for answers.
