Your Body Doesn't Lie15 reviews
John Diamond

Grand Central Publishing, 1989

A great help for your health....
This is a very well illustrated book and very helpful in finding health issues as well as environmental issues that may be affecting one's health. The chiropractor I go to uses some of these techniques and he has been more helpful to me than most of the MD's. I would recommend this to newbies as well as to experienced users.

The Veneration of Life: Through the Disease to the Soul and the Creative Imperative3 reviews
John Diamond

Enhancement Books, 1999

A New and Inspiring Perspective on Disease and on Life
Dr. Diamond is one of the world's great innovators, as anyone who has read "Life Energy" or "Your Body Doesn't Lie" will know. But "The Veneration of Life" is a deeply personal statement. He wrote it shortly after the death of his mother - she died of Alzheimer's disease - and he recounts this moving and inspirational experience to the reader. As the dementia progressed he was able to see more ...

The Diamond Color Meditation: Color Pathway to the Soul5 reviews
John Diamond

Enhancement Books, 2006

A Revolutionary Approach to Meditation
The Diamond Color Meditation is a revolutionary approach to meditation by one of the world's great pioneers of holoistic medicine. It is deceptively simple, so much so that I believe most anyone could do it and benefit. It certainly does not require any previous experience of meditation and, indeed, is very different from the usual "passive" Eastern-derived approach. More important, the ...

Understanding Torts5 reviews
John L. Diamond

LexisNexis/Matthew Bender, 2007

A really outstanding concise - but thorough hornbook
This is a really great book - it also is small ( less weight to carry in bookbag ) - it has some short commings ( light on product liability ) - I used this with Epstein on Torts ( Aspen Hornbook ) Shapo on Torts ( West Hornbook ). You will find that all authors give some topics less attention than others - hence the plethora of hornbooks. Emmanuals & Gilberts are not so good.. Also - get the ...

Life Energy: Using the Meridians to Unlock the Hidden Power of Your Emotions10 reviews
John Diamond

Continuum International Publishing Group, 1990

Practical, thought-provoking, inspiring
This book has been essential for me in developing a concept of the healing force in myself and in everybody -- Life Energy, as the title succinctly puts it -- and how this force can be activated. The specific details about our emotions -- and how they relate to the acupuncture system -- are fascinating. I particularly find helpful and thought-provoking Dr. Diamond's use of etymology (the origins ...

The Way of the Pulse: Drumming With Spirit5 reviews
John Diamond

Enhancement Books, 1999

Inspirational
This book is about more than just drumming. It shows how you can use music to help yourself and those round you. Diamond's approach is a unique, and combines philosophy with psychology and numerous other modalities. The writing ranges from the philosophical to practical suggestions and it has been a great inspiration to me in using music to enhance my life. One wonderful aspect to his approach ...

The Greatest Inventions of the Past 2000 Years9 reviews

Weidenfeld & Nicholson, 2000

A fun book about great ideas
This is a genuinely great book because it makes readers think;we are so used to the world around us, that it is almost impossible tothink of what our life would be like without such everyday items as sliced bread. No, somehow "sliced bread" didn't make it into this list. Instead, the first half of the book talks about material inventions such as the printing press, electric motors, ...

The CIA and the Culture of Failure: U.S. Intelligence from the End of the Cold War to the Invasion of Iraq1 review
John Diamond

Stanford Security Studies, 2008

Intelligence in Context
The explicit concept guiding this book is that intelligence failures (or successes) are not isolated events, but rather occur within the context of the national security processes. Or as Diamond succinctly puts it: "The biggest intelligence failures are usually the product of accumulating misjudgments and lapses..." at all levels of the national security establishment. He also makes the ...
