Busting Old Paradigms - Creating New Ones
It would be inappropriate for me as a co-editor and co-author of this book to provide a review, given my obvious favorable "bias" toward the book's content, but perhaps some background as to whey the book was created will be helpful for those who are considering its purchase. As an evangelical working in the area of alternative spirituality, new religious movements, or "cults" as they are ...

A throwback book of men's short stories.
This is one of my favorite collection of short stories. If you like Hemingway's short stories and if you live or like to visit New England you will love these stories.

A Classic Loved By Many - U Go Lulu !!!
I was very pleased to see that Dark Horse Books have taken on the task of reprinting the Little Lulu comics. Much like the Peanuts serial reissues this book (Vol 1) gives you all the LuLu comics from issues #6 - #12. Vol 2 & 3 are soon on their way. These comics (besides the originals) were only previously available in very expensive reprint bindings that cost well over one hundred dollars and ...

A fitting legacy
This volume of collected essays on Fisher, edited by Robert Dimand, establishes that he was in fact one of the greatest economists of the 20th century. What has hindered Fisher's historical reputation was the problematic, incorrect, notorious forecast he made in late 1929 that the stock market was on an upward path. The Great Crash of October,1929 cost him 11-12 million dollars in losses ...

First 5 Little Lulu Comics
While this is 'volume 3' of Dark Horse Comics' reprint series of Little Lulu, it actual reprints the first 5 of the 10 "Four Color" Little Lulu comics (#74, 97, 110, 115, 120) which were published before Little Lulu got her own title. Hopefully volume 4 of the series will reprint the last 5 of the Four Color issues.

It's a Lulu!
John Stanley's Dell Little Lulu Comics are some of the most popular comics in history, and Dark Horse's recent decision to reprint them vies with The Complete Peanuts as the comics publishing event of the century. The Dark Horse series, currently up to twelve books, reprints the comics in black and white with color covers. Even the Another Rainbow hardback reprint volumes were black and white ...

One of the best
I've read all of the Little Lulu books in this series with my 4-year old son, and we enjoy them all. However, I like the later books in the series more than the earlier -- the art is better and the characters are more developed. I found his particular book especially entertaining for the both of us.

An Updated Classic
As a clinical psychologist who uses the Rorschach regularly and teaches it to graduate students, I have always relied upon this volume as a bible of sorts for all-things-Rorschach. The newest edition is a wonderful updating of the classic. Despite being about the same number of pages as the last edition, this volume packs much more information in, and is written in a more concise and relevant ...

This book really helped me. What I like is that you follow a storyline and at the same time you learn a lot of French. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to speak French.

The children of Pike Street in sad world of uncertainty
While Mary Ellen Mark and husband,Martin Bell, were filming their haunting masterpiece,Streetwise,in 1983,Mary Ellen was also busy taking snap-shots of the runaways...and what a worthwhile effort this was! Anyone who viewed the film will recognize most of the photographs of the Seattle runaways found in the same-titled book. The Streetwise kids lived in a sad world of uncertainty. Many had fled ...

Nifty Little Book
This book is a great introduction to French, teaches basic grammar, and keeps you entertained the whole time. The story you read while learning is in comic form, with clear pictures to help you understand what's going on. If you don't remember a word in the text, there's a translation of the dialogue in English and a dictionary in the back. Also has internet links to practice. I also ...

Poignant and lovely
This is an epistolary novel, which means that it is composed entirely of a series of letters. It's told from the point of view of boys' school headmaster John Greeve, who writes letters to family, friends, colleagues, and the parents of students over the course of one school year. Letters from John provide an interesting point of view. Events can only be described as he writes about them to ...

better than irving
The genius of this piece is that Irving has created a character in T.S.Garp who is an even better writer than himself. "The Pension Grillparzer," Garp's first and best work, is even better than Irving could have written himself.

The Spider makes his first appearance
The adventures of Lulu and her friends continue as Lulu and Alvin ride a runaway elephant and as Lulu scams the boys as a Gypsy fortune teller. The boys in turn scam Lulu when they build and "launch" a rocket to Mars. Tubby concocts perfume with his chemistry set that turns Gloria into a puppy, and he gives her the Evil Eye when she breaks a date with him. Of special interest in this edition ...
Everyman's Bible Commentary - Complete Set (Rare) 52 Volumes (EBC Commentary on the Old and New Testament)

EBC is Evangelical, Solid, Clear, Doctrinally Sound, and EASY TO READ.
In that title, you see I emphasized ease of reading. The best part of Everyman's Bible Commentary is that it is so highly accessible. This is an ideal set to have to give to lay leaders in the church or even to a parishoner who has questions. The series excels at answering those burning questions and does so without scholarship too heavy to wade through.

DARK HORSE CONTIUES TO RE-PRINT CLASSIC LITTLE LULU
In 2004 Dark Horse obtained the rights to re-print the Little Lulu comics and fans have been happy ever since. Seven volumes were released in 2005 with this volume, number 8, being the first to arrive in 2006. The collections reprint the Dell comics that began in 1945 featuring Marge Buell's character that was originally created for the Saturday Evening Post. The Dell comics were handled by ...

The Last Little Lulu
I haven't missed a volume in Dark Horse's series of Little Lulu reprints. I like them far more than I anticipated, but I bought them primarily for my son. There are no other books that my kid looked forward to so seriously and enjoyed so thoroughly as these. He's spent many hours reading, and often chuckling over, the adventures of Little Lulu and her friends. These strips may be forty or ...
