The Green Collar Economy
The subtitle says it all for this highly-readable book. Van Jones' articulate prose and common-sense approach to turning our ecomonic challenges into an opportunity for a green growth boom is a must-read for anyone who wants to live and thrive prosperously on a clean planet. I hope every decision maker in Washington and our state capitals has a copy of it on their nightstand.

Best Book in the entire medical field
This is probably a redundant review since all the reviews are 5* reviews, but I'll give you my perspective. This is the third copy of this book I own, the other two being previous editions. If I could own only one medical book, this would be it. While it has grown ~ 500 pages since the last edition I own, it's all good. Every topic is covered both succinctly and authoritatively and kept up to ...

An Incomplete Education
I've seen this book in numerous catalogs and knew that my 15 year old daughter would love it. In the catalogs it was around $35 + shipping. I found it here at a much lower price; the book arrived promptly; and it was in excellant condition. I come here first for any of my online shopping needs. Great job guys!

Wonderful, loving storybook Bible!
We have now read through this Bible 5 times with my now 6 year old son. We gave it to him when he was 4, and he has asked--more like begged--to read a story from it each and every night since then. This is the most loving, gently written children's story book Bible that I have ever come across. They are all written in a way that a child can relate to and understand. And I love that at the ...

Great Resource!
I found this book to have some great ideas for group activities that introduce and teach social/emotional skills. As a social worker in a junior high school, I have implemented many of these activites into my daily activities. Highly recommended for teachers, counselors, social workers, etc.

The Magical Christmas Cat
I have read a couple of the books in this anthology but Lora Leigh's breed series is worth the price of admission. Although this short story was about a less known breed it had all the fun and excitement of her other books. Nalini Singh's short story about the world of the Psy was very interesting and I will definitely check out the other books in the series.

5 Reason for 5 Stars
This piece of fiction is one of my favorites of any genre, not just graphic novels or comics. Sandman is compelling and original in its characters especially in the way Neil Gaiman weaves myth and traditions into an unfolding scene. There are very few books I can read or movies I watch were I can't either predict what will happen next or predict the end. With Sandman Preludes I couldn't predict ...

A Utopian society gone south in practice
The idea of this book is simple enough: it's Marx's and Engels' concept and plan for a totally fair society where everything is shared and everyone is (supposedly) equal. The problem is, "...absolute power corrupts absolutely," and when authoritarian dictators implement these ideas it always results in two percent of the people having everything and the remaining ninety-eight percent having ...

How do you write for that again?
In the hospital: When your resident asks you to write orders for 17 medicines on one patient, you'll be glad you have this... It's in everyone's pocket. Make sure you have this year's copy. This is the one with small print and no spiral binding. This is almost ALWAYS quicker than the PDA. I've raced people. Also, no batteries to rely on.

Great Book
This book is very useful. My only complaint is that it doesn't tell you the mechanism of action of the drugs, so if you are still at that stage in learning it is not as helpful. However, it does have all the other information you need.

Informative, Up-to-date, and Easy to Understand
I was diagnosed with celiac disease in the fall of 2007, and I immediately went to the library to check out the most recent book on celiac disease. This was it, and it was so excellent I decided to buy a copy to have as a constant reference. This book has the latest information on celiac disease. Dr. Peter Green is the head of the celiac disease center at Columbia University; therefore, he is ...

essential for the serious French food lover
Anything by Thomas Keller is a must-have for the serious French cook. This is definitely not the cookbook for the beginning home cook, as most of the recipes are multi-step--time-consuming for some. The recipes are unique, fresh, and simply delicious. The written instruction is clear and easy to follow. As an aside, I bought The French Laundry and Bouchon together, which saved me some money ...

Minimum takeaway lesson: I appreciate my pastor/Bible study teachers a whole lot more!!!
After finishing this book, I was reminded of the following verse in 2 Timothy 2:15 - Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. Not everyone is called to preach or to give Bible studies but this book, at the very minimum, allows us to see how much work and thought is involved when a pastor gives ...

Very readable look at "Lean Thinking"
Lean is a specific management technique to make an organization more efficient (and a private sector company more profitable). This book is a well written introduction to the subject. The authors, James Womack and Daniel Jones, provide lots of examples to illustrate their basic points. Thus, this is a very useful introduction to the subject, for those of us who are not experts on this matter. ...

As Popeye evolves into Mr. Pip, the personalities and character traits of the islanders also emerge.
