The 7 Lively Sins: How to Enjoy Your Life, Dammit4 reviews
Karen Salmansohn

Celestial Arts, 2003

Was it a sin to buy this book?
I just bought 3 copies of this book to give to friends. It is a beautiful piece of art with powerfully organized advice about the important stuff that keeps all of us from living life to the fullest. I was reading my copy of it in the gym this morning. The lady on the exercise machine behind me asked "what is that book you are reading?" I told her about it and she said "I have many friends ...

Petit Connoisseur: Art (Petit Connoisseur)4 reviews
Karen Salmansohn

Tricycle Press, 2003

bringing modern art to the fingerpainting crowd
What a pleasure it is to find a book worth relishing again and again for it's clever use of words and graphics arts to foster in young children a love of modern art. Like a quick trip to MOMA snuggled up on your own sofa, your toddler may become familiar with concepts and visuals that can only enrich their love of color and (and simple words which they soon memorize and "read" along with you) and ...

Mr. Right When You Need Him10 reviews
Karen Salmansohn

Running Press, 2002

The Good Life
This is a very nice book and doll package containing 'a sweet-talking man-doll and 64-page owner's manual with helpful tips on use and care.' Author Karen Salmansohn is superb. In part of West Africa, people have carved statuettes of their "spirit spouses" -- here is a good contemporary American version. Highly recommended.

A FUN GIFT TO CHEER UP A FRIEND -- AND SELF
I found out about this by receiving it as a gift. I loved it. Each card has some fun tip to perk up your mood. I wound up getting a few more to give out to friends. they're fun to read with your husband because they get a good conversation going -- and kind of helped my husband and I work out some relationship communication issues because of this. Anyway -- I LOVE THIS BOX OF CARDS!

Good Karma in a Box5 reviews
Karen Salmansohn

Sourcebooks, Inc., 2003

So inspiring...and so much fun!
I love these cards. I got them as a gift. Then I bought a few more to give to others as a gift. You read a card a day, and thnk about the inspiring/funny message, then you find someone during the course of your day to give a card to...so they can think about the inspiring/funny message...and so you spread good karma literally into the world. very cool. and i love the art. After I fell in love ...

How to Change Your Entire Life By Doing Absolutely Nothing: 10 Do-Nothing Relaxation Exercises to Calm You ...6 reviews
Karen Salmansohn, 2002

Absolutely Fabulous!!
This book is a quick read and reread. The authour mixes up the presentation of the book. It is simple and basic, easy to understand and do. The author not only tells you why doing nothing works but tells you how to do it. Alot of books I have read leave that part out. The author doesn't speak down to you either. I bought another copy for a friend and am considering future purchases for ...

Karen Salmansohn

Workman Publishing Company, 2003

great gift to give others...and to give to yourself!
I found this book first in a store and wound up reading it page by page without wanting to stop. It's filled with funny but ever so true wisdom that makes great inspiration and motivation. It's very cool how the pages pull out and then you can stick them up places to remind you of its affirmational messages. I wound up buying one for me...and one to give a friend as a gift...who also LOVED it! I ...

The Bounce Back Book: How to Thrive in the Face of Adversity, Setbacks, and Losses7 reviews
Karen Salmansohn

Workman Publishing Company, 2008

Wise and funny, advice to help you through tough times
The Bounce Back book is a treasure of useful ideas to help people bounce back from tough experiences. Salmansohn has a great ability to distill the very best from academic psychology, combine those insights with the spiritual perspective of Eastern philosophy, and convey all this with humor and panache. But what is most moving about the Bounce Back book is the very real and human voice of the ...

Thank you for writing BALLSY - I need these reminders often...

Even God Is Single, So Stop Giving Me A Hard Time14 reviews
Karen Salmansohn

Workman Publishing Company, 2000

Short and Sweet
This one is shorter than most of Karen Salmansohn's books, but it certainly is sweet. Marriage is not the be-all and end-all of life in the 21st Century !! Of course, if you do want to change your status, check out her new book for 2003 -- "How To Change Your Entire Life By Doing Absolutely Nothing" -- which I also enjoyed very much. Perceptive humor can be good for you.

Burn Your Anger: Write It, Rip It, Torch It!1 review
Karen Salmansohn

Sourcebooks Hysteria, 2001

HOT! HOT! HOT!
I am a big fan of Ms. Salmansohn's books... After I read HOW TO BE HAPPY, DAMMIT and THE 8 MINUTES GUTS BUILDER...I started to look into her other books. This one is (like many of Ms. Salmansohn's books) both fun to read...and also very helpful. Basically it explains why (and how) to go about burning off your anger. You fill out the pages about the all the things that might make you angry and ...

My friends gave this to me and my husband in a newlywed gift box -- and at first we all laughed. Burn Your Anger, 2E1 review
Karen Salmansohn

Sourcebooks Hysteria, 2005

big fan of thisd author!
I saw this book in the store and at first thought it was simply funny -- then I read the introduction and the author offers some helpful anger management tips.
