This is a great book for preteen girls, with a smart and capable heroine who struggles with all the normal teenage dilemmas AND the definitely not normal revelation that she comes from a family of merpeople with a mysterious past. Girls will relate to the characters and enjoy the unfolding mystery of the culture and language of Molly Finn's real identity.
