Moonsilver (The Unicorn's Secret)12 reviews

Good Book
This is the best book I have ever read. It is really short and easy. If you buy this book you should get the rest of the books in this series, too.

The Sunset Gates
Kathleen Duey

Perhaps the book tells more about her family -- but she cannot read it. Searching for a teacher, she finds a blacksmith whose family forge was made by unicorn magic. His old records show that his grandfather made giant iron gates using the same design. If Heart can find those gates ...

Aladdin, 2003

I liked it a lot!
True Heart is about when Tibs and Heart go looking for Joseph Laquier. Tibs wants to see him so his dream can come true. Tibs wants to be a blacksmith. Heart wants the unicorns to be safe. Joseph Laquier makes some armour for Moonsilver. I think True Heart is one of the best books I have ever read. READ THIS BOOK!

The Journey Home (Ready-for-Chapters)4 reviews
Kathleen Duey

Aladdin, 2003

Excellent series!
These books are really great stories for children who have big imaginations. They are well-written and exciting without being inappropriate for audiences of 5-9 years. There really is a "secret" revealed in this last book. It is a must-read for anyone who has read the others in the series!

Castle Avamir2 reviews
Kathleen Duey

Aladdin, 2003

My daughter loved this series
My daughter is 7 (almost 8), and she loved this series. She'd finish one, and couldn't wait to start the next. You should start with the first book in the series (Moonsilver), and read them in order so they make sense.

Skin Hunger (A Resurrection of Magic)10 reviews
Kathleen Duey

Simon Pulse, 2008

Intense, powerful characterization leaves you wanting more
A Resurrection of Magic: Skin Hunger has some of the most vivid imagery and strong, interesting characters of any fantasy I've read. I dreamed of, and as, these characters while reading this; I cared about them and what happened to them from the beginning. This book's only flaw was that it felt incomplete; I wanted the sequel right away, instead of waiting months or years. I will be awaiting ...

Even the children recognized some of them. they enjoyed the exciting story and have asked for it over and over again. Patch: Time Soldiers Book #3 (Time Soldiers)1 review
Kathleen Duey

Big Guy Books, 2003

Rave Review!
There's not another pirate book out there like this! The illustrations are all absolutely gorgeous photographs. My seven year old son will lie on the floor for hours just staring at the pictures and reading the story over and over. His dad doesn't mind having to read it to him every night because he likes it too! I have to say that part of the reason I'm excited about this book is that it is ...

Rex: Time Soldiers Book #1 (Time Soldiers)7 reviews
Kathleen Duey

Big Guy Books, 2005

One Happy Grandma
I was shown this book by a family member just before my grandchildren came to visit from across the country. My grandson is 6 years old and had not yet entered the first grade. All it took was a look at the cover and he was into it. He studied each of the pages and turned to me with a desperate voice (while holding my face with his hands and making me look into his eyes)"TEACH ME TO READ ...
