Fatal Voyage : A Novel120 reviews
Kathy Reichs

Scribner, 2001

Interesting and literate, gets a little silly at the end
When a plane crashes in the mountains of North Carolina, a bevy of agencies scramble to determine the cause - the FBI (was it terrorism?), the National Transportation Safety Board (the people who rebuild crashed planes to determine cause), and even the Quebec Provincial Police, who had an officer on board transporting an extradited Hell's Angel. Temperence Brennan - the forensic scientist with ...

Temperance Brennan-Book vs Temperance Brennan "Bones"
Watched "Bones" on Fox TV. I enjoyed it so I started hunting for the first book in the series. I hate starting in the middle of series books. Once I started reading Reichs and I got over the shock that literary Brennan and TV Brennan are based on Reichs, they are still different. I missed Booth at first. But as I read on and was able to view each version as its own work I really enjoyed the ...

Bones to Ashes: A Novel (Temperance Brennan Novels)86 reviews
Kathy Reichs

Pocket Star, 2008

'bones'
very different from the TV series... enjoying books very much, but cannot compare novels' characters to those portrayed in show--(apples to oranges) the entertainment value of the TV series is greater, but writing of books is well done, worth reading.

BARE BONES88 reviews

Zero to 183 in no time
I had just finished reading DEADLY DECISIONS by Kathy Reichs and was looking forward to reading BARE BONES, but it was kind of late at night and I thought: :Well, I can start this tomorrow." then after reading the back cover 5 or 6 times I decided to just start it, read a chapter or two and then get into it for real the next day. The next thing I knew I thought I should go to bed because I had ...

DEJA DEAD225 reviews
Kathy Reichs

Simon & Schuster Audio, 1997

Shaddap, already! Tell your story.
I would guesstimate this book to be 150,000 words long. It should have been no more than 90,000 words, if that. Novice novelist Kathy Reichs goes way overboard in her description of place, people, feelings, and scientific techniques. I can imagine consultations with her editor, who must have - should have - tried to get her to cut, cut, cut out the excessive verbiage. But, being new at this, ...

DEATH DU JOUR164 reviews
KATHY REICHS

WILLIAM HEINEMANN, 1999

Better than Patricia Cornwell!
I have always loved Patricia Cornwell's books but her recent ones don't appeal to me anymore. Now I have discovered Kathy Reichs and I love her books!!! If you're a fan of the Bones TV show, try reading this!

Monday Mourning73 reviews
Kathy Reichs, 2008

There's no mourning reading this book...
"Monday Mourning" is Reich's best read yet--[but I started reading from book #1, so I have just a few more to read before I get myself up to speed.]!! This book is a definite page-turner, without a lot of clinical terms and French chatter with which to contend. I totally enjoyed reading this and I highly recommend "Monday Mourning" to all.

Cross Bones113 reviews
Kathy Reichs

Wheeler Publishing, 2005

The Girls Get a New Lease on Life
"Cross Bones," (2005) is the eighth in the Dr. Temperance (Tempe) Brennan series by Kathy Reichs. The first, "Deja Dead," brought her instant acclaim when it became a New York Times bestseller and won the 1997 Ellis Award for Best First Novel. Then, as frequently happens, the series seemed to get a bit tired. Nevertheless, it was translated to the highly-successful current "Bones" television ...

Grave Secrets1 review
Kathy Reichs

Arrow Books Ltd, 2003

Grave Secrets by Kathy Reichs
Riechs book is an excellent continuation of her efforts into forensic anthropology. She brings the "human" aspect into the field while still exploring and deomonstrating the science of the field. I find her writing excellent, light and not ponderous.

Bones: The Official Companion (Bones)12 reviews
Paul Ruditis

Titan Books, 2007

Bones Companion Book
For anyone who is a fan of the TV shows Bones, this book is a must. There are lots of little anecdotes about the actors as well as information on each of the season one and season two episodes.

Bare Bones [CD] (Audiobook) (Dr. Temperance Brennan series, Book 6)
Kathy Reichs, 2006

Best-selling author Kathy Reichs pens riveting tales of suspense featuring forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperance Brennan and is the creator of the hit FOX TV drama Bones. In Bare Bones Tempe investigates the contents of an unmarked gravesite in the woods near a posh North Carolina resort. Meanwhile two other sets of remains turn up and a pattern of murder begins to emerge. But as Tempe gets closer to cracking the case, a killer tries to end her ...

Bones VI
Although the Tempe Brennan in the books shares only the name and the profession with the TV character, she is also an enjoyable heroine. The author obviously does great background research for her novels. A great fun read.

David Owen

Firefly Books, 2000

If your interested
This book is good and has a lot of info. if your into forensic Science. This book is pretty interesting if you want to learn in this subject. If you have to do a report on a science subject this is pretty good but its kind of long.
