Essential Clinical Anatomy (Moore, Essential Clinical Anatomy)18 reviews
Keith L Moore, Anne M Agur, ...

Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, 2010

Great Book if you want less than a big text and more than a review book
The reason that I loved this book is that while my classmates were slaving away attempting to read the entire Moore's Clinically Oriented Anatomy, I was able to get the bulk of the text read in a fraction of the time while getting the same amount of information. This text is made for students who still want a read (rather than bullets that you would see in a review book) but does not have ...

Good book with nice illustrations. Minor oversight on a few illustrations (EX: where the Maxillary division of the trigeminal nerve exits the visocranium).

Before We Are Born: Essentials of Embryology and Birth Defects (Before We Are Born: Essentials of Embryology ...7 reviews
Keith L. Moore, T. V. N. Persaud

W.B. Saunders Company, 1998

great book
I absolutely agree with Michelle Lee (one of the reviewers above) that it is essential to SEE what is happening when you study Embryology. This book does a great job in that sense and I highly recommend it.

The Developing Human: Clinically Oriented Embryology14 reviews
Keith L. Moore BA MSc PhD FIAC FRSM, T. V. N. Persaud MD PhD DSc FRC Path(Lond)

Saunders, 2002

Well written and great resource for experienced readers
This is an excellent embryology text IF you already have some background in medical anatomy, morphology, or embryology. Otherwise I reccomend "Before we are born" by the same authors. Same information but less dense and more easily read by a lay audience. The Developing Human is a very dense text and it has excellent clinical correlations in each chapter. This is a book intended for medical ...

Keith L. Moore BA MSc PhD FIAC FRSM, T. V. N. Persaud MD PhD DSc FRC Path(Lond)

Saunders, 2007

Very nice if you hate Langman.
UAMS listed Langman's Medical Embryology as our required embryo book. I hate Langman with a passion, as you can tell in my review of it. It is poorly written, contains less than useful 2-D figures making it difficult to visualize morphologic changes, and contains at least two errors in every single chapter (and I'm not talking about minutia; it's errors big enough that our lecturers have to ...

Imaginings: An Anthology of Long Short Fiction3 reviews

Pocket Books (Simon Says), 2003

deserved award nominee
The Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America have nominated "Of a Sweet Slow Dance in the Wake of Temporary Dogs" by Adam-Troy Castro for a Nebula Award for Best Novelette (the winners will be announced in April 2004). It deserves to win -- in fact, all the novelettes in this book are worthy of award consideration.
