Parents and Children: Our Most Difficult Classroom

Very Helpful.
I was a little surprised by how helpful this book actually was for me. I've bought Wapnick's books before and I didn't get a lot of new understanding from them necessarily. But this one did help a lot. Maybe because the Course in Miracles doesn't directly deal with the issue of children. But Wapnick connects the original text with this topic in a very insightful, easy to understand way. And I ...

A wonderful myth for understanding "A Course In Miracles"
AWAKEN FROM THE DREAM is co-authored by Gloria and Kenneth Wapnick, the founders of the Foundation for A Course In Miracles -- http://www.facim.org/. (A COURSE IN MIRACLES, for those unfamiliar, is a three-volume self-study book about spiritual psychotherapy.) The Course teaches that this physical universe is ultimately an illusion - an illusion not created by God but made by the ego as an attack ...
Form versus Content: Sex and Money
Kenneth Wapnick
Foundation for A Course in Miracles
, 2005
The near-universal preoccupation with the issues of sex and money can be traced to the ego's agenda concealed in our minds?specifically, its plan to keep us rooted in the body and the world so we will never get to the real source of pain and conflict, which is the mind's decision to sustain the separation from God, but not be held responsible for it. In the context of the ego's principles and its doctrine of specialness and separate interests, ...

Wonderful!
Ken Wapnick is one of the most respected teachers of ACIM. This audio program is a great way to understand ACIM in greater depth. Mr. Wapnick does a great job of clarifying the Course, and in this set he really helped me understand some issues about the Course I'd been struggling with. His approach is easy to understand, sensible, funny, compassionate, and I'd recommend this set to any ACIM ...

Fantastic!
This set of eight books has Ken's detailed commentary on each lesson. Relevant quotes from the Text are included in the comments, too, making the whole lesson come alive. If you are a Course student and are doing the lessons, you will absolutely love this set. Enjoy!
Journey through the Manual of A Course in Miracles
Kenneth Wapnick
Foundation for A Course in Miracles
, 2008
The manual for teachers is organized around two themes and variations of these two themes. The first is that of separate versus shared interests, mentioned in its full form in the opening question, Who Are God s Teachers? There Jesus says of the teacher of God: His qualifications consist solely in this; somehow, somewhere he has made a deliberate choice in which he did not see his interests as apart from someone else s. This idea of shared ...

Invaluable resource in clarifying Course definitions
This book could really be called the "Glossary, Index, and Dictionary for A Course In Miracles." As any Course student knows, A COURES IN MIRACLES has its own definition for most words it uses, and often the definitions are the opposite of common usage. The word "miracle" itself has a different definition in the Course: "the change of mind that shifts our perception from the ego's world of sin, ...
From Futility to Happiness: Sisyphus as Everyman
Kenneth Wapnick
Foundation for A Course in Miracles
, 2008
The Greek mythic figure of Sisyphus was condemned by the gods to a life of pushing a rock up a mountain, only to have it fall back down to the bottom, there to begin his labors again. His life of futility mirrors our life in the body and the hopelessness inherent in pursuing any meaning in the world. The first part of the book addresses this view as presented in A Course in Miracles, summarized in the idea that we can never be truly happy in ...

Assistance with A Course in Miracles
This and the other volume are excellent, excellent. The author was intimately involved in the Course during it's creation, and he is said to be its greatest living teacher. I would vote a yes on that.

Teachings of the most High Vibration
I recommend this and Volume 2 from the author said to be A Course in Miracles greatest teacher, and I believe he will go down in history as being such. If you've had a bit of a slog with understanding some of the Course, try reading these little books by Mr. Wapnick. You will not be disappointed, and you will gain far, far more, than the small cost of the book. Highly recommended.
"What It Says": From the Preface of "A Course in Miracles"
Kenneth Wapnick
Foundation for A Course in Miracles
, 2006
One year after "A Course in Miracles" was published in 1976, in response to requests for an introduction that could be handed out to interested people as a way of presenting the Course and explaining its origin, its scribe Helen Schucman agreed to write one. It was in three parts and was called the Preface. As the third of this three-part Preface, "What It Says" was scribed by Helen by the same process of inner dictation from Jesus as was the ...
El perdón y Jesús

Foundation for a Course in Miracles

A must-have for ACIM students
This is one of those indispensable books, along with Gary Renard's DU and YIR, that the serious ACIM student should definitely consider having. I had a rather different impression of Helen Shucman until I read Absence from Felicity. It puts into perspective the scribing of the Course, the events that led up to and ensued during the scribing, and the complexities surrounding Helen's relationship ...

well-written and thoughtful
Wapnick has provided a great service by bringing a concise understanding of the 50 miracle principles in the Course. After all, he's been doing this for many years and knew Helen. While there's no substitute for actually practicing the course in the daily lessons, this little book is extremely helpful in understanding a somewhat lengthy volume. Thank you Dr. Wapnick!

Indispensable for Course students
"A Course In Miracles" is founded on the definition of God as a formless, timeless, presence of abstract love that ultimately doesn't even know that we exist as individuals. Further, the Course says the entire physical world is an illusion that never happened. Can you fully understand or grasp this? Can I? No. And the Course says it's better not to try, and it refers to such attempts as ...
