Perl Resource Kit -- UNIX Edition5 reviews
Larry Wall, Ellen Siever, ...

O'Reilly, 1997

I use this set every day of my life !!
I must be honest, I'm writing this review mostly to netralize the bad reviews thus far. That this book is on a CD only begins to demonstrate the effectiveness of it's contents, but this IS indeed an important feature. I only wish this came out sooner (or I bought it sooner), when I was web-designing free-lance a couple of years ago.

Perl Cookbook2 reviews
Tom Christiansen, Nathan Torkington, ..., 1998

Extremely useful
I recommend this book for both Perl novices and experts alike. It works well both as a reference for a specific problem as well as reading to brush up on available Perl techniques.

Programming Perl (3rd Edition)110 reviews
Larry Wall, Tom Christiansen, ...

O'Reilly Media, Inc., 2000

It is difficult to study perl using only this book.
It is difficult to study perl using only this book. Learning perl is the best way to study perl. This book should be a reference of perl. And there are many examples on the Net. You can use these examples to modify for your purpose. Sometimes, you should study how to debbug perl.

Programming Perl133 reviews
Larry Wall, Tom Christiansen, ...

O'Reilly, 1996

Awesome learning tool
This informal "bible" of Perl programming is an easy read for experienced programmers AND has a great index for reference. Walls and Christiansen team up well for us advanced beginners by welcoming us into the Club and giving us the straight scoop in a coherent structure.

Open Sources: Voices from the Open Source Revolution (O'Reilly Open Source)22 reviews
Chris DiBona, Sam Ockman, ...

O'Reilly Media, Inc., 1999

A fascinating read
All the essays are well written, enjoyable, informative and a great read. Anyone interested in open source software, where S/W development might be going and Unix/Linux/GNU software in particular, should read this book. One or two essays showing their age, but still worth every penny. Buy it, read it, then encourage your friends to read it as well.

Learning Perl, Second Edition292 reviews
Randal L. Schwartz, Tom Christiansen, ..., 1997

very good book for anyone new to perl
I recommend this book to anyone who is new to perl. The only thing I thought could have been better though was add more examples after each chapter. But other than that the book explains the basics very good.

BizTalk Unleashed2 reviews
Susie Adams, Dilip Hardas, ...

Sams, 2002

Excellent BizTalk book
As a developer, I bought BizTalk Unleashed to evaluate the capabilities of BizTalk Server 2002. Specifically, I looked at how it can be used in EDI transaction processing and how to use .NET (VB.NET/C#) and I was impressed because the book has excellent examples, from general overview to step-by-step guide, on how to use every tools and technologies that BizTalk has to offer. Most importantly, ...
