Lee Child

Another Reacher classic
Lee Child has taken reacher into another situation not of his own making. H estumbles into a kidnap by accident. Jack Reacher is in both the wrong and the right place at the same time when FBI Special Agent and daughter of the chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Holly Johnson is abducted from a Chicago street. It is the wrong place because Reacher, a former army major drifting around the country, ...

Killing Floor (Jack Reacher)180 reviews
Lee Child

Jove, 2006

Jack Reacher Is A Believable Super Hero
This is my second Jack Reacher read. I think the author does a great job creating page turning excitement. Even though many of Reacher's exploits may seem over the top. They are achieved in a plausible way. Reacher's brother was a top level treasury department boss who was the top expert in money counterfitting. He came to a small town in Georgia to meet with a former bank executive who was ...

Running Blind (Jack Reacher)121 reviews
Lee Child

Another Child classic
As usual Jack Reacher stumbles into a situation that has nothing to do with him, but he is a modern day night in shining armour and he decides to track down the culprits. A series of vitims fall foul of an unknown murderer. The killer's victims have only one thing in common--all of them brought sexual harassment charges against their military superiors and all resigned from the army after winning ...

The Hard Way (Jack Reacher Novels)161 reviews
Lee Child

Dell, 2007

BACK TO THE BEST REACHER!
As a big Reacher fan I struggle to find good books of a similar genre, but if you are the same try the `Soft Target novels by Conrad Jones. They are as good if not better than most. As far as thrillers go this is one of the best Reacher books. The latest Harry Bosch novel Overlook is excellent but too short. Oh well back to looking for a good read again !!

One Shot (Jack Reacher)127 reviews
Lee Child

Dell, 2006

One Shot
Lee Child is an amazing story-teller of mystery-thrillers that draws in the reader and will not allow you to put them down once you open the covers. Jack Reacher (the main character)is unique. The details and speed in which the plot develops haunts you even when you have finished and put it down. ONE SHOT is true to Child's form. He takes an event that is all too common and devestating for a ...

Nothing to Lose (Jack Reacher Novels)262 reviews
Lee Child

Delacorte Press, 2008

The least-thrilling Jack Reacher novel so far . . . fails to meet high standards
Lee Child's creation, Jack Reacher, has earned his legions of fans the hard way - through kicking butt and taking names. He's a surprising combination of loner, warrior, and detective and gifted with a surprising talent for finding trouble. Thanks to Child's twisted imagination, Reacher has met several diabolical characters in his wanderings. Indeed, these villains are among the best ...

Lee Child CD Collection: Killing Floor, Die Trying, Tripwire (Jack Reacher) (Jack Reacher)2 reviews
Lee Child

Brilliance Audio on CD, 2005

Lee Child CD Collection1.
I first met Jack Reacher listening to the audio version of Lee Child's "Hard Way" and immediately wanted to read or hear more of his books, based on this character. I readily ordered the Lee Child CD Collection 1, happy to learn that such collections existed. As soon as I finish one Reacher novel I'm ready for the next. This character is a likeable loner, ex-military police, a highly ...

The Chopin Manuscript: A Serial Thriller4 reviews, ...

International Thriller Writers, Inc., 2008

By AW 830 in Bonita Springs, FL
This is fun. It held my interest throughout the book. Knowing a new author would have to pick up the pieces at the end of each chapter added mystery and anticipation. I wish it had been longer.

Echo Burning (Jack Reacher)101 reviews
Lee Child

Berkley Trade, 2005

Child at his best
This one starts slowly, leading up to a firecracker of an ending, typical of Lee Child novels. Jack Reacher, the ex army police officer turned freelance lawman who never hesitates to stick his nose into private business, takes his lively act to Texas, embroiling himself in what starts as a messy domestic dispute before turning far more ominous. The rugged former army cop comes to the aid of a ...

Killer Year: Stories to Die For...From the Hottest New Crime Writers8 reviews
Lee Child

St. Martin's Minotaur, 2008

Stories to Savor
What a fabulous collection!! I bought the book because Gregg Olsen is one of my favorite non-fiction writers. Last year he ventured into the fiction genre and therefore he was included in this anthology. This book introduced me to many other rising stars in the `thriller' arena. I will be buying more books by the authors included in this fine work.

Without Fail (Jack Reacher)83 reviews
Lee Child

Jove, 2008

How do you keep the most powerful people in the world alive?
How do you keep the most powerful people in the world alive? Not only is this a daunting task, it may be impossible. Lee Child's WITHOUT FAIL takes character Jack Reacher to his most challenging task yet - keeping the vice president alive. However, in true Jack Reacher fashion, this isn't about protection, it's about offense--find the killers before they are successful. Child does a masterful ...

Tripwire (A Jack Reacher Novel)1 review
Lee Child

Bantam Books, 2000

Tripwire
I have read 11 of Lee Child's books and I can't wait for the next one to appear. Once you start reading you can't put the book down. My husband is a very slow reader, but not when he is reading Lee Child's books. I would recommend this to anyone that likes a good mystery, suspense or adventure book.

Persuader (Jack Reacher Novels)117 reviews
Lee Child

Dell, 2008

One of the best Reacher novels.
Reacher ends up working for a likely drug importer for reasons of his own. The many plot twists/developments are unexpected, well done, and well placed--they are not there just for the sake of surprise. The baddest of the the bad guys are monsters, who may be too much even for Reacher. This is darker than the other Reacher novels, but I barely noticed because of its fast pacing and constant ...

Thriller: Stories To Keep You Up All Night: James Penney's New Identity\Operation Northwoods\Epitaph\The Face ...4 reviews
Lee Child, James Grippando, ...

Mira, 2007

Thrilled to have this one available!
There are a few reasons you should read this book. First, it is likely you will get a taste of the writings of authors you otherwise would not have ever tried. Second, there are variations here on what defines a "thriller." Don't be prejudiced by your own definition of the term -- read these with an open mind to possibilities. Third, if your life is as hectic as mine, it is great to be able ...
